Hey, I'm pretty new to running but would like to get into doing short distance running (500m-2km). I used to just use Adidas trainers which i bought from a discount store before I had any knowledge of running, and never had any issues.
I then switched to a pair of Nike Free Airs (cos they seemed cool and really new nothing about running shoe selection), and immediately the arch and sides of my feet ached when I did any sort of running on them.
I then had my running assessed and was told I am a mild pronator, so was sold a pair of New Balance Vazee Prisms. I was also told that this was the reason why my feet hurt with the Nikes.. all made sense until today when I went for my first run in the New Balances and my right foot arch is now in pain after a 2km run.. It was also hurting a bit during the run, but nothing serious. Interestingly my left foot seems ok.. What do you guys suggest? Have I just bought the wrong shoe?
