I try and stick to a healthy diet (a lot of rice, lentils, eggs, lean protein, veggies, fruits, etc). Every few days, especially after hard workouts, I get really strong cravings for red meat, fatty meat, and high-fat junk food. The other day, I ate a meatball sub and was literally moaning in pleasure while I was eating it. I spend a lot of time looking at pictures of fatty junk food when I get these cravings.
I've tried upping my healthy fats (avocados, nuts, etc) and lean protein but it just doesn't help. Is there something in fatty food--especially meat--that my body could be deficient in? How do I make this stop?
