Hey 2:39 is not fast. Muscular guys can run that fast. This is slander.
Just because you can't run 2:39 doesn't mean it's hard or fast.
Yes he is a big guy but maybe he has 2:10 genetics in a muscular body?
Mr friend ran 2:32 in his debut on crazy low miles.
Just this fall I helped a local kid 25 run 2:37 debut on 40mpw he's 170pds.

The pretentious know-it-alls that stalk this forum say it "isn't" an impressive time. So, which one is it Pretzel Man...an impressive time or not so impressive?

After careful analysis, that's got to be GHRP-2, i.e., the "speed peptide" at work here! 😉😆

I strongly object and take great offence at me and others on here being called
"pretentious know-it-alls".
None of us have ever professed to knowing it all, I admit that we must come across as way more knowledgeable than most and, that when put in writing, makes us appear somewhat pretentious.
As for stalking the forum, I think you're fairly spot on there.

You're far too funny, that must be what the cool kids (or joeys)⤴ are on these days. I'm getting old because "Delta 2" is already out of style. 🤓

Are YOU a pretentious "know-it-all?" 🤔. If you don’t think there are "know it alls" lurking on this forum, then you must be blind. Imagine that: "know-it-alls" on LRC...who would have thought? 😅

Very impressed to see a guy weighing 180 to run that fast. And I never said he was a juicer, "if".

180 lbs running a marathon at that pace is exceptional genetics. Imagine what he could run if he were 30 or 40 lbs lighter.🤔
Can't even lie, when I first came across his IG within the last year or two, I was immediately turned off. The shirtless pics were lame in my eyes, then I realized he is a genius. In our time of self marketing, he has niched his own lane and has attracted tens of thousands of people that follow him for inspiration. I am also a former football player and after years of strength training, our bodies are forever shaped differently vs the cross country runner throughout hs and college. Dude has put wild amounts of time into training on top of a full time labor intensive job per his IG, I love what he's doing and wish him the absolute best. Ya'll should look in the mirror before throwing salt, ya know, everybody isn't NOP registered bc they're fit.

Blimey, that Roo is on PEDs. He can't get ripped like that living in the Outback without HGH or testo-suoplements. Bet he's a douche to the other kangaroos, too.

Agreed. Not cool.
I got passed by him at Boston and had the exact same thought. When I saw the thread title I immediately thought of him.
It was fairly late in the race and his effortlessness was shocking. I got passed by a number of guys, all of whom looked like they had just run over 20 miles hard in 70 degree heat, he looked like he had just jumped in the race. A few days later I remembered it and went to look at pictures. I figured he was just some local who decided to jump in for a mile or two. When I realized he had run the whole race, drugs was my next thought. I do realize that a bigger stronger guy like that may have just had quads that hold up better on the Boston course. If that's the case he can take the drug suspicion as a huge compliment to his hard work and overcoming the obstacle of his build.

I'm not this guy's cheerleader but if you believe what he puts on IG (and I see no reason not to), dude works hard. Which is probably why he passed you. Why you think that someone who passes you must be juicing gives you something for you and your therapist to work on in the future. He has a DNF at Boston before. He worked harder after that. He vomited during Chicago just recently. But yeah, it's probably what ever makes you feel better about yourself.
Wow, you guys' bitterness has reached a new height. Can't you just accept the fact that he's a much better runner than you're despite having a body that you average scrawny runners can't dream of.
