The 2:10 calls into question the 13:37. Looking back it seems maybe the race was one lap short and he maybe ran about a 14:40.

since high school... every privilege in the world and still has the personality of a wet turd... he's a talent but without $$$, dope and coddling he's a slightly better Wejo, if that.

All of those things have very diminishing returns, if any at all. If Kipchoge thought they'd benefit him, he'd use them. He doesn't. He does it old school. So could Rupp, but he's fighting for every second he can get -- his tenacity is unreal.

If you took away those things Rupp would still find 2:30 easy. Now if the question was could he break 2:10 then maybe. If the question was would he still be running. That is a bigger maybe.

Very few Americans continue to run at a high level post collegiately for long.

So to reverse your question...if you take a 2:30 marathoner, can you turn them into a WMM champion and 2x Olympic medalist with the best resources? I don't think all of the testosterone, EPO, and Nike $$$ in the world will do that for you.

My dad ran 2.28 with a full time job so I'll say yes.

2:10 is an art... only Ninjas run that fast. I don't care how you do it that is fast and hard.

I don't know if I can cover 5k or 10k that fast on a really good day on the road. Most decent college runners would struggle doing that easily and if you made it 15k the group would shatter.

Rupp is a NINJA! like it or not.

Running 2:30 can be done by the common man with some talent and work ethic. It requires very little magic just work and a lean body.

Running 2:10 requires a genie and a lamp and talent that most of us simply do not have. Also work ethic that exceeds most of our running lives. They make it look easy and there is no way to run that fast easily.

This is by far the dumbest question I've seen on this board in a while and that is saying something. Well played.

Rupp could probably break 2:30 with a broken leg with or without special aid and coaching.

If you are going to ask a question, ask if he can break 2:07 without everything you mention.

Or advise teenagers to supplement testosterone.
