Ritz not off to a good start with the Hanson's group. Apparently suffered a slight injury during the race. I hope they turn it around.

B.A.A. Half Marathon
I actually ran the race. Brutal conditions for this time of year. 71 degrees, dew point almost 70, 18 mph winds. Plus, lots of hills on that course.
Most were 2-3 minutes slower than they are capable of. More for the hobby joggers. Then again, I talked to him after and he said it was a calf injury that got him. All factors considered, he's not too far off. We've all seen him come back from much worse.
Calf injury? Looking like a DNF in New York then.
Looks like he’s not even entered so scratch that.

He has cashed out. Much like Nick Symmonds he will steal money from Brooks and then retire. Just another Nike retread like Kara.
I believe that Ritz said that they will not push him hard in the short-term, but will gradually build him up so that he can compete well at the 2020 trials. This is because of his numerous injuries.

Compete at the 2020 Olympic trials?! WTF he's DONE! So is Davila-Linden. Kevin and Keith Hanson are delusional if they believe that!
Until the USA can show any real up and coming marathon talent the Hansons will guaranteed provide one or more runners in our next Olympics. Rupp and Hasay aren't much younger. Our college system isn't bad, but it makes it hard to identify any potential marathon talent before something like the age of 23 or 24 when they can finally start road careers.
I hope Ritz isn't actually being coached by those guys. They couldn't coach each other out of a paper bag. Awful coaches. Only reason anyone ever goes there is because of the financial situation.

So how's that working so far...
Hasay is 26. Ritz is going to be 35 in December, so Hasay is almost 9 years younger. That's an athletic generation.
Quite well. He looked nifty in his new Brooks singlet and shoes

I want to know how they even got into that paper bag. I think they had help.

Disregard that. I read "rupp" not "ritz"

Ritz was 8th out of a whole field of hobbyjoggers. Slow times all around. He's done
No body gets on base every time they come up to bat.
