When's the last time a pro golfer died on the job trying to help someone they've never met?

I'm sure you speak from experience.
plenty of jobs that're tough work, and I wouldn't ever want to do them: firefighter, police (municipal), military- but I understand the sentiment about hero status. all of these jobs are currently (and have been for some time) voluntary. there was 5 minutes of the ~22 minute newscast yesterday detailing an officer who died off-duty in a car crash. he wasn't on the job, he was just a guy in an accident. i dunno. whatever.
