Microchips are a BAD idea. Be informed on this...don’t be mind controlled and fall for the "feal good" story. Apply common sense & logic.

That's a great idea. Athletes with nothing to hide won't object to this.

Yes. And nothing will ever change unless we rebuild the IAAF from scratch, and stop with the nonsense of self-policing.
Amateur Hour, like so many, doesn't understand how the sports federations set up WADA. WADA is the equivalent of a mall cop, observe and report.
All the authority for anti-doping lies within the federations.
According to everything that has come out about Diack's various criminal enterprises, and there are many, federation officials make millions on bribes of all kinds. The bribes include money to never test positive.
Microchips is yet another attempt to shift the focus away from the corruption at the IOC federations.
I don't think this is acceptable!
There are higher values in life than the fight against doping in professional sports! Having a chip being mandatorily implanted on a person's body solely on the basis of that person's profession, sets (as I view it) a very dangerous precedent for society as a whole!
I think this method is beyond what can be considered reasonable as a way to prevent a crime with little to none social impact while compromising some of the core values (such as the right to privacy) of any free society.
Next thing employers will be demanding workers to have chips implanted in their bodies to prevent them from calling in sick when they feel like taking the day off!
me too. wrote:
Frank Shorter believed that a few drinks the night before the race was a performance enhancer, so do a few others. Were they dirty rotten cheats?
Isn't he a German? I saw it recently on another thread, so it must be true.
Just LET THEM DOPE .. then you have just the same level playing field as if there was ZERO Doping.

yep, they could test the finalists and give a metal to the cleanest guy plus the top 3...no matter how they test.
Never microchip yourself or another human being.

Cool, we'll send you the medical bills for hundreds of young adult athletes spit out of IOC's uncontrolled human experiments for the rest of their lives.
Because, that's never happened before. Not once!
