Evan Jager ran at NCAAs and ran faster than that in the steeple.
Abraham Alvarado qualified for the most recent Oly trials in the 800. Coming out of HS he was a mostly 1:56 type guy that really developed. CSU Stanislaus

He also coaches Kipchoge now. Univ of Arkansas...it's a close one: I'd say Falcon, Hood, O'mara as a tie, with Reina and Bruton a close tie for second.

He came with a large contingent of Finns, and did not like it. It was all asphalt, and very few of the soft trails he was accustomed to. Also, his English was very poor at the time; and frustration was compounded by a nagging calf (achilles?) injury.
