LONDON
LONDON
For those watching the astrological progresses of the fine athlete.
His natal (birth) chart May 8 1986, (a very very colorful period in music
If I say so myself), his natal chart had the Sun ascending.
And when Galen won Chicago, boom the Sun ascending.
With that said, and a random calculation. Let's take a looksy at
Boston 2018, Patriots day, April 16 2018.
The triagon of Venus, Mars and Neptune
are on par with his natal trigon of Sun, Jupiter and Mars,
assuming the start time is 8 AM (EST), there is a nice trigon
let's just say, an envelope formation as if Neptune is saying
"sealed with a kiss."
I'll do the others later.
Marine Corps Marathon to see if he can win it like wejo.
Funny that everyone agrees Rupp is targeting the Olympics and Worlds. I think that, too.
And many say he needs to run fast at some point. A 2:05 or whatever, at least.
Spin it however, if he doesn't get in a fast spring marathon, and that doesn't mean Boston, it won't happen. Tell me I'm wrong.
I would follow the $. Galen was the goat at 5/10K and who knows what he might have done in the marathon 2011 -2015 if he had concentrated.. He is past his peak, and will not challenge WR or even run sub 2:05. But he can still win 2-3 a year for the next 5 years picking up checks and appearance, and thrilling the crowds.
July 1, 1994. I opened the newspaper, and on the second page of the sports section was a story and photo about Alberto Salazar winning the Comrade Marathon. A bandanna and sunglasses on, he looked little like he did when he was running well, well, over 10 years earlier.
Rupp won't be drawing anyone to races in 5 years. Just saying.

Are you kidding? A dynamic personality like Rupp? He's A LOT more than "just" running. Talk to him about music, literature, film. Alberto is his "life coach" too you know. I heard Rupp has been studing Latin lately, wants to read Juvenal and Martial in the original.
If he ever does a REAL race like NYC this will be helpful because of all the "Latin Americans" there.
Seriously, Rupp was the winner Chicago deserved: a garbage, zero interest race (course sucks, crowd non-existent) and a 2:09 plus asterisk laden dolt, congrats to all!
By winning the 20k on Labor day he earns auto selection to the world 1/2 marathon team in spain in late March - might be a good last tune up before Boston - like he did last year somewhere in Europe

Rupp's next marathon could be anything, the Rupp fanbois will still spaz out with his 2:14 or whatever.
Run a rabbit race, you puzzy.
All the haters keep pointing out times. My beef with that is what would you rather have?
1. Oly silver + Oly bronze + major marathon win?
Or...
2. 2:04.xx marathon PR with no better than a 5th place finish?
Yeah... number ONE which Rupp has. Plus he is fun to watch, he RACES. Screw time trials for glorious pr's... I'd rather watch a RACE any day.
If Rupp ain't shxt as the haters say then why is he constantly up top with medals in his closet? Oh yeah... cuz he "sucks"... lol.
Or the best option which is to run fast and kick ass. You're basically saying that he doesn't run fast because he can't. A pretty shit position to have, especially for the so called greatest American marathoner ever as you guys want him crowned. He'll likely never touch Hall's 2:06:17 and has no shot at taking down KK. These shit times don't progress the sport at all. It's the Kipchoge's Bekele's and Kipsang's of the world making forward progress and inspiring others. Not guys just looking for that #1 in a slow race like Farah. Furthermore Rupp is just a lab experiment, he trains with all the resources of Nike and blurs the lines between what is cheating and what's fair. He's not inspiring in any way. Just grow a sack and run what you think you're capable of. If he thought he was in that great a shape there is no reason to go and run at such a slow pace. Aaron effin Braun was in the lead for a sizeable amount of the first half. That's just embarrassing.

So here's the list of 2018 World Marathon Majors with their approx dates based on the 2017-2018 WMM calendar:
- Tokyo: Feb 25 (2018)
- Boston: April 16 (2018)
- London: April 22 (2018)
- Berlin: Sept 24 (2017 - similar date next year)
- Chicago: Oct 8 (2017)
- NYC: Nov 5 (2017)
The WMM's aren't spread out very well - conducive to two in a year with one of Tokyo, Boston, London and then one of Berlin, Chicago, NYC as he did this year.
It seems that if Galen wants a faster time to his name, while also living up to the American distance-running poster boy image, he has to run at least one of Boston, Chicago, or NYC and it seems a no-brainer that he does NYC next year.
Maybe London for a fast time in the spring before NYC? What would you do if you were him?
Discus.
a 204 or 205 race....... that be london amsterdam berlin.
pick is london all the way.
Zuck asked "If you were Galen Rupp, what would your next marathon be?"
This car is almost empty and I'm going to the Marathon Oil Gas station!
Continued.
Assuming Galen's birth time of Noon in Portland.
The more accurate a birth time we get the more precise the outcome.
Leo ascending into the 1st house
Jupiter descending into the 7th house in Aquarius
Which marathon bodes well for Galen?
Tokyo and and a goal of medaling/winning 2020 Tokyo Olympic,
but I am not in his shoes. If he can maintain and not get complacent.
What do the astrological charts tell?
All charts assume an 8:00AM start time in their time zone with
the exception of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Marathon.
Through Fukuoka in the deck.
- Fukuoka: Dec 3 (2017)
Virgo asending into the 1st house
Pisces descending into the 7th house
Uranus on the cusp in the 8th house with Aries
Dubious looking chart for Galen, greed can be a bad thing.
- Tokyo: Feb 25 (2018)
Aquarius ascending and Leo descending in to the 7th house
A direct opposite of his natal chart.
This will be the same course as the 2020 Olympic run.
Looks favorable, this could be a favorable race for Galen
and stamp his name into 2020, by brute force.
- Boston: April 16 (2018)
See above
- London: April 22 (2018)
Virgo ascending into 1st house
Mercury descending into Pisces into the 7th house
Sun and Saturn are in the 8th house
A very nervous looking chart.
- Berlin: Sept 24 (2018 - similar date next year)
Did not know Suleiman Nyambui won this race in 1988 and 1987?
This chart for Galen! September 30, 2018 Sunday Berlin time 8:00AM
what a stunning chart!
Leo descending into the 7th house opposite his natal chart
Aquarius ascending into the 1st house with the Mars
Doesn't have the same signature as Boston, but this one
has direct opposite signs of his birth, what ends begins, what
begins ends, as cryptic as that sounds.
- Chicago: Oct 8 (2018)
Gemini ascending into the 1st house
Saturn descending into the 7th house
Neptune in the 8th house
Aquarius in the the 9th house
Uranus on the cusp of the 11th house with Aries
and Tarus in the 12th.
Galen, the planets are well aligned.
- NYC: Nov 4 (2018)
At this point I don't think Galen would consider it. But
the chart looked good.
2020 Tokoy Olympic marathon -
Sun, August 9th 2020 assumes a 5 PM start
Sag. ascending with Jupiter on the cusp of Capricorn
Venus descending into Gemini
But this is a proving run for the prime 34 year old Galen and the U.S.A.
and a stamp for immortality as an Olympic figure could live up
to the motto for this games "Discover Tomorrow (ashita o tsukamo)."
All around if I were Galen, the planets are in his and his teams favor.
Boston (April 16) over both MadCity (50k, April 7) and London (April 22).
Berlin (September 23) over Chicago (October 7).
Cannot race Long Island 50k (March 4) due to too close to Boston marathon.
Race schedule for Galen Rupp with 50k and 26.2mi:
Apr. 16, 2018 Boston marathon
Sep. 23, 2018 Berlin marathon
Dec. 2, 2018 California International marathon
Jan. 20, 2019 Clearwater 50k
Apr. 6, 2019 MadCity 50k
Oct. 6, 2019 Chicago marathon
Dec. 1, 2019 California International marathon
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
