Hasay on American record pace through 30k (2:19:29). How are the announcers not going nuts about this?

Wow, a dozen still packed together in the men's pack, great race

GREAT content. No wonder the rest of the US doesn't give Chicago respect (and the natives are butthurt about it). Amateur hour disgrace!
Jesus, just stop, man.
Sucks that they missed Dibaba's move, but to the large majority of people, the fun part of the race is the environment. They don't know who the pros are or care who wins beyond that it'd be cool for an American to win or someone they know through nine degrees of separation to do well.

But back to the Abba drag queens. Haven't checked in with them for a few minutes.
Exactly. They've sent as much time filming the dancing Abba wannabes as they have the men's elite. I thought I was watching the Chicago Marathon, but perhaps I have the wrong channel.
Too busy partying at the cheer zone.
Rupp running slower than a training tempo......at 35k somebody drops a 1400 flat split
Will the lead men's pack last until 5k to go? 1500m? 400m?
That said, they should definitely have at least a PIP of the elite races of all times for us fans.
Look, Sammy is in the lead pack.
You would think they would care more about a possible American record than the hobby joggers in the back and their cheerleaders

I think the Abba drag queens got more air time than Hasay. I'm serious.

Because they suck, by the way great podcast on rupp!
I’m embarrassed to be a Chicagoan! Damn my city sucks in race coverage and now a crappy marathon.
I'm waiting for these liars and morons here to make an appology for accusing Rupp of having a pacer
Men's pack is now basically 5
Tadese still checking his watch, but falling off the back now. What does he keep looking for?
Rupp looking thick, solid, tight.
Derrick dropped, Lelisa too?

Ineptitude?
That being said, I think it's going to be really hard to hold on to beat Kastor's record. She can't slow down at all at it's 2:19:36.

Now we are flashing to Chinatown!
Lemma, Kiprui, Rupp, and Kipyego look the best. It will probably be one of those 4
They chopped off from the women's race, to show a bunch of BS nonsense.
