What does the Army get out of these WCAP-ers? I am going to ask you to think big picture. Remember, physical fitness is a key component of all our active duty service men and women. That's a fact. That's why there are weight standards and physical fitness tests. Also, (I digress) why we are forced to hear stories about guys who swear they ran 4 miles in 16 minutes with 70 pounds on their back. At the top end of the Army's physical fitness spear is All-Army Sports. Competitions start at the base level, and if you are good enough you compete for your service at Armed Forces Sports or even CISM. The reason the Army has a WCAP is that they can tell recruits that, "sure you can still play sports even if you don't play in college. Why, we even had a guy win a medal in the last Olympics for Track/Shooting/Bobsled." It's incredibly good deal and money well spent. These guys aren't getting paid much at all. Their value to the Army is press and recruiting. And if you don't think the Army has an interest to tie sports into recruiting, just ask yourself why they spend millions of dollars to have players stand for the national anthem at football games.Again, you still seem butt-hurt. You really didn't make any points. You're like Ferris Bueller's little sister, only racist and xenophobic. You blame the Army for exploiting it's own loophole. That's priceless, Einstein. You've made my point. So, before you try to make 25 other points, try to make just one rational one first. Maybe you don't think these guys are soldiering or contributing as you see fit. These decisions are made high above any level you will ever reach.

- What is the Army getting in return? These Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest (MAVNI) program WCAPers certainly aren't contributing to East Africa stability. Its dangerous business out their -- 3 x Green Berets were KIA in Niger this week.
- What WCAP "grand scheme" are you referring too? The one where OUR Army exploits the loopholes in the soon-to-be canceled Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest (MAVNI) program & peddles US Citizenship to create a track club that DESTROYS US long-distance running.

Why are you so butt-hurt about them winning money?

#1 They should be soldiering
#2 They rigged our system.
& they are at least 25 more reasons ....
- It's going to be interesting, the difference between this year's Army 10-miler and last year is that they raced last weekend. We'll see who shows up!
