This is just throwing a dog a bone while they try to allow guns everywhere in people's lives. I'd rather not live in a wild west country, so I'm going to look for ways to get out.

"Bum f***k?"
Bump stocks were approved under Obama.
You may see earlier on this thread that this device was not identified accurately when it was issued to whoever. I'm not a gun guy, I don't follow this stuff, but apparently there was misdirection with this.
Like, a Lawn Dart came out that actually exploded upon impact, but nobody knew that and the box and instructions didn't say it. That sort of thing.

NOPE. Read the actually letter that the ATF received from the seller who obscured what the function actually was. Sold as a limited mobility person's firing device that had no parts that created an automatic weapon.

I guess Obama had to "pass it to see what's in it", Polosi ACA style. Federal politicians are so worthless, banning some obscure weapon component that will have no effect on stopping future mass-murders will be the first bi-partisan legislation passed since GW Bush was in office.

The reality is that this contraption can be made in a shop class or someone’s garage that has the right tooling.
A ban would be nothing more than a feel good circle jerk by the idiotic and the clueless.
Libbbtwats believe that everyone is as stupid and non-resourceful as they are.
I bet all libbbtwats are unaware that people are selling 3D printers et al that people can use to make guns in their homes if they want.
Nothing will stop the availability and manufacturing of firearms or their accessories- NOTHING.
America. Unlike you.

I have walked past people holding guns before and they didn't shoot, mostly they wanted to shoot animals I think.

The ones that were killed were a bit disadvanted in their abilities to post.
The reality is that the use of a bump fire stock may have actually SAVED lives. It is virtually impossible to fire an AR-15 style rifle quickly and accurately at distance. Just go watch some Afghanistan videos on youtube. You won't see guys dumping mags from their ARs on full auto. That is Hollywood stuff. Shooting accurately on a decline is already super difficult. Doing it with a bump fire stock would have just been spray and pray.
More than that... he seemed to be using some larger than 30 round magazines... that I suspect, given some of the LONG intervals between gunfire, didn't work very well. Because, they DON'T. They jam or cause misfeeds.
If he had just used standard magazines... he would likely have killed twice as many people. How ironic, right? Using extra high capacity magazines probably saved a bunch of lives.
Everything you posted is 100% accurate and it is why the NRA doesn’t give 2 $hits about the “bump fire†stock. It is a moronic novelty item that reduces a weapons efficiency and makes it less capable. An AR15 or even a military issued M4A1 is not a belt-fed machinegun no matter how much someone wants it to be.
The truth does not fit the libbbtwat narrative however, so the dumb fck libbbtwats are going to go off on tangents on some contraption that can be replicated in a high school shop class by a teenager.
Libbbtwats🤦â€â™‚ï¸
The slide fire stock I believe had been reviewed twice by ATF to determine its legality and both times was deemed not a machine gun. Bump firing a gun without that stock is pretty simple and people have been doing it for decades. Bump firing with or without the stock is a party trick that is essentially useless. I'm guessing almost everyone who owns one has used it about one time and it's laying in their garage for eternity. Even a machine gun while fun to shoot is really only an advantage in a few situations.
Even though it seems that this guy found a way to use that stock to his advantage it's hard to imagine he would go through all the planning of this event and use those stocks vs just converting the guns to full auto.
Anyone listening to the tape from the Vegas massacre will hear a fully automatic weapon being fired. Not a rifle converted to automatic via a "bump stock".
Two different things.

You may be happier somewhere else. Syria and Somalia come to mind as an NRA paradise, absolutely no restrictions whatsoever and unlimited supply of fully automatic weapons...those places must be the most peaceful and law abiding places on the planet because after all an armed society is a polite society...
