Paul Ryan saying maybe we need to look at bump stocks or whatever those things are called. I NEVER in this lifetime thought I'd see Republicans lead an effort to limit, end, or change ANYTHING related to guns.
Sorry gun nuts that I don't have such knowledge! Obviously I'm wrong!

Speaking of "never in this lifetime"... Bump stocks were legalized in 2010. Democrat President, and Democrat Congress. Just sayin.

If there were people in rooms anywhere near him they surely would have called the hotel to report gun fire in the room next to them, above them, whatever. That is, unless the government was involved and made sure all those rooms were clear.
This is not true. It actually didn't take police long to identify his room. It took them a long time to breach his room because they had no idea what was on the other side.
That's not the story reported here. Police say they could hear gunfire above them when they reached the 31st floor, then received fire before the murderer killed himself.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/03/us/mandalay-bay-hotel-room-what-we-know/index.htmlMeh, nevermind. That timeline is written more clearly.
No one saw the dead shooter shoot anyone. Did any living person actually witness Stephen Paddock pulling the trigger on either himself or the victims? The only person to come near Paddock's room during the shooting was an unarmed security guard on random patrol. The only reason Paddock knew the the guard was in the hallway was because, while Paddock was rainy terror down on the crowd, he also had time to monitor several hidden camera video feeds that he had set up in the hallway.
When the cops entered the room he was dead. The hotel security guard supposedly never entered the room, but was shot and injured through the closed door. The security guard, identified as Jesus Campos by the International Union, Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America, was shot in the leg after Paddock fired at him through a door, police said. Paddock fired "well over 200 rounds" into the hallway when the security guard approached.
I am not usually a conspiracy theorist, but this story has more holes in it than Paddock's hotel room door.
The FBI should check out all of the victims very carefully. Someone with a price on his head was killed during the event.
I thought the cameras were reported to not be on?
It's looking like it's more and more possible the initial claims by ISIS were true. Read the whole thread: (NYT's reporter that covers ISIS)

Yet you were able to provide zero compelling "holes".
I saw Jack Reacher too!
Seriously, though, the cover is plausible.

It appears that more info is being released today, such as the timeline. I saw a tweet from CNN just moments ago that said the shooter did leave a note before killing himself but the linked story did not mention it.
Today was also the first mention I seen about the security guard who was shot in the leg and then let police know where the gunman was exactly. Dude will be famous by end of week.
Just heard this morning that he had booked rooms overlooking this year's lollapalooza in Chicago, but was a no show.

I heard that Lollapalooza has had snipers on guard for years. Things would have been different had he shot at that crowd.

Thank you for sharing. Some stories have mentioned the murderer making a few international trips leading up to last weekend. They haven't said where. Perhaps he converted and flew somewhere to receive training?

I agree. You ARE suspicious.

The timeline has shown that from his first shot to his last, only about 10 minutes passed. The room was quiet for almost an hour before police breached the door and found him dead from self-inflicted gun wound.
But hey, don't let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory.
It was 13 minutes not 10 and that is a LONG time. You really think in 13 minutes nobody called to say someone was shooting the place up near them? Get real.
10:05 p.m. - First shots fired.
10:15 p.m. - Last shots fired.
10:17 p.m. - Officers arrive on 32nd floor
10:18 p.m. - Officers arrive at his door.

Same author wrote a great piece on ISIS remote influence on attacks:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/04/world/asia/isis-messaging-app-terror-plot.htmlYou have some screwed up math skills.
I said - "The timeline has shown that from his first shot to his last, only about 10 minutes passed. "
You said - "It was 13 minutes not 10 and that is a LONG time."
You posted - "10:05 p.m. - First shots fired."
"10:15 p.m. - Last shots fired."
This happened in Vegas and I live in Eastern Timezone but I think it is still 10 minutes.
Is anyone else thrown off by the picture that some news channels provide? Couldn't they find a picture with his eyes open? Just weird.
