5'6 (5'7 or 5'6 im not exactly sure) 105-107 pounds depending on the day. I'm a Sophomore now and have gone from a complete sack to a budding varsity/top-JV guy at a pretty good team with a very good shot at states.
I have a "unique" build I would say. And I can assume it isn't 100 percent advantageous to running, but there are always exceptions. I obviously have a low BMI and body weight, but I think I lack a lot of muscle.
I'm fairly skinny, but I dont look emaciated like a lot of runners do. I have some flab on my arms I guess. I have big, tree-trunk legs and a big awkward butt. Is there anything I should do that could make me less fat lol.
Can I cut weight while gaining muscle? I'm thinking after this month, when states/districts are over, my month of base-training before Indoor Track(skipping NXN Regionals this year, no shot this year), I would like to start lifting maybe? I don't do much besides running for the most part. Averaging 40-50mpw this mid-season.
My diet is pretty shit to be honest. I'm very inconsistent and don't eat a lot of cooked meals. Would adding protein and removing fat without changing calories make a difference?
Any advice is appreciated, and any sources for the tips would help even more.
