Those people are correct.
Wow.. I can barely squat my body weight with no weights... no bar......
I'll be running with her Sunday... probably 2-4 minutes behind her...I'm a guy... ..no way I can lift any of that. Impressive...
L.A. Iranian chicks like Jordan Hasay are #1
If you can barely squat your own body weight, you must have some serious problems.

Paula did. And you wonder why the Africans can't touch what she did or the men can't legally run the equivalent.
I am in no position to judge, but Is it really beneficial to lift heavy two weeks out a key race? Personally I would only do some body weight stuff.

No question Paula loved to squat and she'd even do it mid-race. Her bodyweight squats also included extra blood weight.
Amount of times J. Hasay lifts a week - a lot.
Amount of times P. Chelimo lifts a week - none.
Difference in Global medals - 2.
Get outta here with your strength analysis. Miles, Rest, Nutrition,
I'm being a bit dramatic ....but honestly doing 20 body weight squats with at most a kettle bell (15pds) would light me up the next day.... I'm pretty weak.
If I lifted what she has on the bar....just A few times...i doubt I could make it to the start of chicago in 4 days... but I'll run pretty close to 2:26-30....
Maybe next cycle I'll ad a few weights but I doubt it... I'd rather run hills or do some basic plyo.
Are those 25# plates? So 295 for the first set?

No idea how you got to that number. If they were 25# plates, that'd be 25*4*2+45=245.
However, the three outside plates look to be 10# bumper plates, and I'd guess the inside plate is a 25# bumper, but let's say it's a 45# normal plate. That'd come to
10*4*2+45*2+45=215.
She's box squating above parallel, but she's extremely light, so this is a decent weight to lift...for a distance runner. I'm guessing the two inside plates are 25# though, in which case we knock off 40# from the total, which comes to
175.
Still a decent lift for someone of her size. I doubt there'd be much benefit for her to go heavier than double body weight, so this isn't bad.
I squatted 465 and deadlifted 555 two weeks ago, which is 2.5x and 3x body weight, but maintaining this level of strength isn't worth it if your intent is to be the best runner. You can do it without putting on a ton of muscle mass, but the programming care (with recovery, etc) and the time commitment takes away from what you should be doing more of, which is running.
Correction.
I said the three outside plates look to be 10# bumper plates, and I'd guess the inside plate is a 25# bumper, but let's say it's a 45# normal plate. That'd come to
10*3*2+45*2+45=195.
Then, if the inside plate is actually 25#, that comes to a total of 155#.
So, I would revise my assessment: she could benefit from becoming a little stronger.

Paula didn't have 4% shoes, so let's call it even. She squatted and has the statistically best performance of any distance all time (equivalent to a sub 2 hr marathon for a man). Take note, Africans, if you want to break 2 hrs as a man or 2:15 as a woman.

Any sub 2:10 guy can become a woman and smash Paula's time.

Amount of weight Farah lifts, not worth bothering with.
Jordan who?
She is awesome. But is it good long term to lock your knees out like that so forcefully??

Yes. What is going all the way up doing to your knees that half assing your squat isn't?
