What? Is the NCAA ruling on the UNC cheating scandal already?
Dude this isn't the little NCAA this is real world stuff..the FBI

When can we expect the news on this to break?
Read the link (the press conference is today at noon). Yikes!
adidas is the international company referred to.
Lamont Evans of Ok. State and Chuck Person (the refileman) of Auburn among those charged.
Emanuel Richardson of Arizona and Tony Bland of USC also...
Looks like they targeted low level black coaches.
And nobody else.
The alleged crime? Paying some money to the players! How horrible.

Will they go back and take away his rookie of the year award and give it to it's rightful owner Ron Harper?
to be fair, corruption in college basketball is less of a "scandal" than it is a "business model"
Wow, unbelievable how they targeted these coaches and let others off free. The investigation cost US taxpayers close to $2 billion and they didn't even end up indicting the worst coaches. Unreal.
The head of the sportswear company is Adidas head of sports marketing James Gatto, who is accused of paying high school players to go to Adidas sponsored schools for the benefit of signing with the company at a later time.
Why was the FBI involved in this? Outside of the NCAA this would just be standard business practices. It's the NCAA that is criminal.
Source?

Well the FBI doesnt care about recruiting violations, so I assume there's extortion, racketeering, and off the record payments that bring it under their jurisdiction.

Here's a report, a lot of it does appear to be about recruiting violations, but those involve fraud and bribery, so it is in their jurisdiction:

Louisville also to likely be impacted, I assume that will be it for Pitino:
Well when I said recruiting violations I mean they (the FBI) don't care that you contacted a kid out of season or too many times... They do care if you commit an actual crime in the process of recruiting.
Yes Tricky Ricky is going down!!
