just curious, would you ever? under what conditions? for how much? would you still want to be involved? would you make them keep it the same? have you ever considered selling in the past? anything else you'd like to share?

This site claims letsrun is worth $2 million;
without the Rossi thread (well threads, now) this site would not be worth that much. Most of the value was produced by the popularity of the Rossi thread. I would guess that the Rossi thread on its own is worth close to $2 million.
Remember TrackShark? LetsRun considered selling out to the company that bought them, but thankfully did not because... http://running.net/read_new/economic-crunch-hits-trackshark-site

The value is driven by the front page content and the reporting imo. That is what drives serious runners to the site and gets them to use the forums. No where else in the world can you find multiple OTQ runners, respected coaches, and former elites, oftentimes in the very same thread. If it was just the forums, they wouldn't bother because this place can be a flippin' swamp.
It's based on the visitors
Letsrun not only attracts lots of visitors, but many of them have solid incomes and college degrees
Well yeah, but what drives those visitors? I think the front page content leads to actual fast people to come here and post which leads to the hordes of slow people (like myself) coming here to try to learn something.
and to post dank running memes, ofc.
wejo has a 51% stake in the company.

The Rossi review is just one element. True value will be determined with a quick look at the books. Have this site made money? If acquired what would it do for the buyer, expand a larger site with a target audience they don't have access to?
Content of the viewership, how many high school kids vs money in the pocket spending adults? How many true visitors vs single visitors with many names?
You all forget that Rojo and Wejo don't need the money as they are trust fund kids. LOL
Flotrack will own this site within 5 years.
They already sold to PUMA 10 years ago.
I wonder would letsrun merge with runnersworld at some time and become a more better running site then. Both sites are very extremely good(like Bekele), so imagine combining them

That site be smoke'n da dope.
What if the Russians bought it?
OK Rojo, you have it bumped up to the front page... now LETS HEAR IT....
Let's be honest - most of the people here come to this board to read the comments of a handful of contributers - Calculo, Coevett, Bad Wiggins, El Keinio etc.
Rojo should consider paying these guys to post more often. Perhaps Calculo could be encouraged through financial incentive to flesh out his comments into fully fledged mathematical treatises?
I thought the boys sold out to Tracksmith and that women's lingerie company that keeps popping up on my screen (not that I'm offended).
If a deal happened it would fail unless it included the founders to stay on. Like it or not, they are part of the brand and changing that would change the message board...and the site would fail.
So Rojo/Wejo, only sell if you're still in control of all content for as long as you want.
