No, rain reduces friction (i.e. grip), especially on the turns.
+1
Anyone care to estimate the cost of running that distance with reduced grip?

Thx, have to watch German stream
They won't shut up about their DNF guy with the pink shades on his head
Dang, Cherono takes it but was out on her feet, was it Aga 2nd or 3rd?
Thats what African women get for using weaves. Its typical.
Holy MF Kipchoge!!!! In the RV we say "NYIGANET!" Zen Master. GOAT. Olympic Champ. Fastest marathoner ever. Great sportsman. Excellent tactician. Those moves at 39 - 40k were nerve-wrecking but the man himself kept darting glances to the right or to the left (according to where Adola was) as though amused at how this mortal dared challenge his supremacy! Really great race to watch. Does everyone here agree Kipchoge probably has one fast marathon left in him? London maybe?
And props to Adola. Brave as hell. Really interesting form too, I cannot wait for someone to come up with an analysis of that pitty-patter, high-arm carriage form. Reminds me of Daniel Wanjiru.
Re: the women's race. Ruti and Valary (in 2nd & 3rd) looked very strong finishing. Why the hell are you looking so strong finishing a few seconds behind a winner who is dying?
Trichology is now big business in Africa.
Kipchoge wins, MF'r!

Yeah, props to Cherono but if this is a 43K, she's 3rd. Both Aga & 3rd place Kenyan looked great at finish
Summary:
Weather cost the leaders 60 seconds. K and A would have run 2:02.3x and
2:02.4y. We will never know what Kipasang could have done. KB unfortunately
not a factor. A is the future.
These folks in Eldoret skipped church to watch the marathon.
wow, these hahner twins are cute!
What was with the Anna / Bertone duel? Anna 1st German woman?

Wanjiru, the Kenyan, was more powerful. The gliding efficient of the Ethiopian today reminded me a little like 'Bekele THE ORIGINAL', seen in the following starting at around 5:55:

Is this receding hair line typical for Kenyan women? Cherone isn't the only one among the Kenyan elites
Leave our women's bodies alone. Woman runs a great marathon and the first thing that comes to your mind is her hairline? So what if she has such a receding hairline as to look like an old man? Are you gonna make claims about hypoandrogenism? Go ahead, man. Go the effn ahead! FU!
