I empathize with what you're going through but you'll say anything to yourself to justify texting her. Texting her will only make her want you less. In fact - it would be a horrible idea to engage her in conversation once she texts you (and trust me she will) because she'll draw you back in and then you'll waste more time in depression analyzing every little bit of your conversation or hangout.

Guys, I want her to text me pretty bad. I am still waiting for her to text me and everyday I think about texting her and hold myself back so much not to. What if she never texts me because she thinks I just got over it fast and am completely fine, and if I really want to talk to her I would text her? Help...
Hey OP - just checking in - everything ok?
You guys are going to hate me for this but I texted her. She responded really happy and acted excited that I texted her. We had a brief conversation and we both agreed that sometime we should go out for coffee or something to talk in person when we both are back from college.
smfh this guy...

Some people have to learn the hard way.

Contrary to the advice of some others, there's no need to slam the door shut. After some time away, who knows? You kids might find your way back to each other. In the meantime, though, it wouldn't be a bad idea to see what else is out there in the world.

I feel that you did the right thing. Go ahead and play this how it feels right to you.
Personally I'd see her if she wants, and otherwise do your own thing.
This way you don't buy into any drama, and still get to enjoy her company on occasion, while moving on with your life, regardless what direction you end up going.
In fact I've done this before, at age 50, and it took us 6 months to end the relationship. It was a traumatic time, yet helped me to move on and to understand appreciate my life better in subsequent times.
And now how do you feel? Are you thinking about her more or less?

Life’s short. Trust me, there are other girls out there and even though you may be to young to understand it, trust me there are. I thought the same way as you, dated many women luckily and got married. I thought that was it, but even as a married man I still get a lot of attention. Don’t settle because obviously she’s not setteling either.
She’s dating other guys and be lucky she’s not pretending to like you and have her cheat on you. If you keep trying to get back with her, she will cheat on you.

She’s going to cheat on you if she hasn’t already. Even if you do all you can to verify she’s not, she will. You can’t be with her 100% of the time and that time you can’t be with her, she will cheat. Wait until after college to see her again and hopefully both of you have found great tail to nail.

Like a junkie in withdrawal, the first hit always feels good. The problem is that now you're gonna want to chase that high. That means another text, a phone call, a conversation, etc. It's just a false sense of security and you're setting yourself up to be crushed.
She's going to date someone else and eventually you're going to find out. She'll be the most likely one to break the news to you once she gets tired of your persistent chasing and wants you to go away.
Then you'll be right back to where you were before you texted her and the cycle will start over.
She's *choking* back tears right now thinking about you.
Bang on!OP disregarded all the good advice he has been getting and caved. I know right now he is obsessing over every little detail of their call - when/if she will call back - when they will hang out - how to win her back etc. And I feel for him but...She will be more than happy to string you along and be your buddy. You'll hear from her when she is lonely but get the cold shoulder when she is out on dates/ hooking up. Eventually - 1, 3, 6 months from now you'll find out from her, or on Facebook etc. that she is seeing another guy. You'll be CRUSHED (worse than you feel now) and start back from square 1 - this time taking much longer to heal. Trust me - engaging her now will add a year to your misery and pain. I am begging you OP - don't do it!!

What stupid comments you make. She can't chat on him because they're not in a relationship anymore. And what she does in any case is her business not yours.
*cheat
he's not going to listen. despite all the good advice he's getting, this stupid cuck will ignore it all and do something that will TOTALLY help his case.

Oh wel, we all have to learn by experience. Maybe at least after he goes through what we all know he will go through, he will learn to notice good advice when he gets it. I know for myself, I didn’t learn my lesson until I experienced it and after that I learned what’s bs advice is from real advice.
