That's the statisticians best estimate after looking at some video from her 64:52 half-marathon WR. The fastest 10 mile split in women's running history belonged to Paula Radcliffe who hit 50:01 at the Great North Run in 2003.

Why would we give her that world record based off an estimate?
Man, I want to see a race with Her, Mary K, Pres Jipchirchir and Kipkirui at half marathon.
That race would be even more suicidal than the RAK half marathon that happened earlier this year.
49:05 would be competitive against men in most of U.S. 10-milers. This woman is almost a minute faster than Radcliff in the 10-mile and almost 2 minutes faster in the half; what I am I supposed think if she can't come close the marathon WR?
I just want to see her race Ayana in a track 10k. Why shouldn't she do it?

Ummm . . . what's for breakfast?

That she cannot put together a marathon.

You ever heard of Tadese?

I second this! And I think Peris(and also Mary) will beat her based on statistics from their superfast races this year. Here are their splits from 15K to the finish.
From RAK half.
15K 20K HAlf Last 6.0975K
Peris 46'32 61'40 65'06 18'34
Mary 46'30 61'52 65'13 18'43
Joyceline 46'31 62'36 66'08 19'37
From Praha Half.
Joceline 45'37 61'25 64'52 19'15
Violah 45'40 61'50 65'22 19'42
Based on their last 6.0975K, these were their half marathon paces in that section:
Peris 64'14 (RAK)
Mary 64'45 (RAK)
Joyceln 67'52 (RAK)
Joyceln 66'36 (Praha)
Violah 68'09 (Praha)
Its seems probable to me that Mary and Peris can run faster in the first 15K and close faster than Joyceline in the end for a sub 64'45 time. I hope they get to meet next year again at RAK for the half marathon and all in the best shape of their lives.
Why not just let her race Ayana, then ban them both for life after they lap every single runner at the Olympics. Seriously, 10k, 15k 20k and 10 mile world records en route to half marathon? She's not even pretending to be clean
If experts are going to estimate her times, can everyone else estimate what her out of competition test results would be. If they were ever to take place.

EPO...that and a little HGH, good 'ol testosterone, and probably a couple other things. I'll give it another 8 months before she's banned and claims she was framed. She's more obviously doping than even Mo, approaching Bolt level of ridiculousness.....
Does anyone care that the drug testing in Africa sucks and Fifty plus runners are under investigation?

Exactly what I was thinking. No woman in history has broken 50 and she suddenly pops a 49:05? I can't believe anyone on these boards is gullible enough to think that time is remotely legitimate. I want to know what she's on so the rest of us can partake.

Ever hear of Jill Greathouse?
to the effin gills...
I'd like to see the number of tests included in athletes' bios on the IAAF website and ensure that national anti doping organisations are audited / scrutinised to a higher level than they currently are.
This would then allow us to watch events such as these and perhaps cast less doubt over the performances witnessed.
For all we know these performances could be as clean as a whistle but the problem is that there is little trust given the criticisms of Kenyan & Ethiopian anti doping organisations in particular and the IAAF itself.
A bit of transparency would go a long way...
this is a really good idea !!!
