+14C at the start and +16C at the finish. Humidity at 85%, winds of 7-8 mph. Not ideal conditions at all folks.

makes you wonder what the humidity, temps and winds are for those 3 when they are training at 8,000ft near the equator. you would think with some of their WR pace 40k time trails it has to be pretty hot and humid.

this will be one of the most anticipated marathons of all time, it will generate more traffic on this site than any other race up to this point, and if all 3 are together with 3 miles to go and on pace i have 100% on KB....if he loses contact before halfway he will drop out, if he loses contact before 3 miles to go it will go to kipchoge.
if all goes well i see a 2:02 low from KB, if KB drops out then i see kipchoge in a new WR of 2:02:30 ish
You do know that Kipchoge beat Bekele and El G in the 5000m WC in 2003, right? Think about that!
Bekele is 35 now, Kipchoge is 32( on paper), in the last 3 miles Kipchoge has the ability to smoke Bekele. Kipchoge was a great track runner as well.
Some come on now.
With 1 mile to go, kipsang would be the only one who wouldn't have a shot.
what are you talking about? acting like i dont know he sneaked by kb and el g....your acting like he won big over kb...3/10ths of a second....wow man kipchoge really stomped kb on that one didnt he
that was 2003, you know 14yrs ago, but while your being a history buff mr arrogant a$$hole, why didnt you mention 2008 where KB actually did CRUSH kipchoge by 5 full seconds in the 5k.
kb with 1-2k left and all three are together you know he will win unless something bad like a cramp or achillies blows up.
kb is prob legit 35, whereas kipchoge is 40, dude looks super hella old, and is maintaining like lagat and meb, just on a higher level, but dont think for a min he still has 52 sec closing 400 speed.
noticed something that i never really considered. kb's 2000m WR, of 4:49.99 indoors.....is 3:52 mile pace, so strange why kb never could get a fast mile or 1500...i would think he was pretty on par with komen.
does anyone have PR's for komen 800 and lower? and what was komens fastest last 400 during a race? he never appeared that he had a kick yet he has a 3:29 and 3:46 credentials....faster than every american we have ever had (yeah yeah yeah lagat but come on)
saying kb lost by 3/10ths of a second back in 2003 and not mentioning this
he outkicked mr sit and kick himself
the vid is even better, mo is trying all sorts of hard and kb is just waiting and waiting, he knew without a doubt he still had lots of sprint left in the tank, and crosses the finish line laughing! hope KB can finish sunday with some cockyness like that again

What I am saying is that Kipchoge is no push over, and and what happened in the Chicago Marathon, where Kipchoge beat Bekele?
Kipchoge is by far the better marathon runner, and it is not even close. HE is more durable, smarter, and has the better strength.
Kipchoge has everything that bekele has, and much more. With 400 meters can kipchoge can without a doubt.
For sure Kipchoge has had a much better and consistent marathon career compared with Bekele, but Bekele officially does have a better time and imo a much better sprint if it came down to that.
Yes, he beat him in a sprint in 2003 and then basically everytime it came to a sprint after that, Bekele has won.
yeah and how fit was kb in chicago? even berlin it was rumored that kb didnt have that much fitness under his belt and he missed the WR.....im telling you a fit kb is better than anyone. problem is he has the nagging achillies injury that keeps flaring up.
He wasn't better than EL G! And EL G smoked him at his own distance. lol
Seriously, Bekele is the greatest distance track and XC runner off all time. There is no doubt about that.
However, regardless of Bekele's fitness, Kipchoge is just too masterful in my opinion. He has no weaknesses.
Also, part of being a runner is maintaining health and being in great condition, and Kipchoge rules in that area.
I'm more of a Wilson Kipsang guy because he is effortless in his running and a mental master
We will so who is the best on race day!
I'm not going to try to predict a winner... but i do predict at least one of the three will DNF or be +3mins behind and then disclose to the media that he had a nagging injury of some sort that he knew he had going into the race....
More than i care which one wins, i care that all three are fit with no injuries.

Clearly you have not been to the highlands in the Rift Valley. Take a trip someday buddy.

Look here folks, Kipchoge won't let it be a sit-and-kick. He has this amazing ability to wrench the guts out of everyone, some kind of a sustained, gradual kick å la G. Mutai at the final 6 miles of the 2011 NYC Marathon, or even himself in London 2016 (oh, and the Olympics, same thing with 2015 London. But one can see it best at the 2016 London and in G. Mutai's 2011 NYC). Expect a ridiculous mile/5k split at 35k - 40k and then he coasts in with a win, with or without a WR.
A healthy Kennster will run circles around Kipsang and that over-hyped Kipchoge.
haha, that was fantastic... and even if that happens, one of them still wins.

"Also, from 2010 to 2014 Kipsang was undefeated in the Marathon, and in running in general. he didn't lose a race."
He ran 2:09+ and came third in the Olympics in 2012.....
ethiopian,
That was...amazing.
