I run about 13.2 for 100m and can usually run a 33 or 34 second 200m fairly relaxed. (200m best is around 27 low, think I could have broken 27)
After an easy 40 minute run today I decided to try and run a fast 200m to get turnover in and a 34 second 200m felt way faster than it often has for me before.
Is this just because of the distance run or is it because I've been base training for 2 weeks and have done strides 3 or so times since I started? I have never done high mileage and I'm quite new to running, highest mileage per week has been 15 mpw but I'm slowly raising that now.
