Why do people have this crazy notion that progressive runs can be used to predict race times without any context other than the splits?
Provide current mileage, old 5K PR's, estimated effort of this run, terrain of run, etc. Without these things people can't make predictions off of progressive runs, and LetsRun is already god awful at predictions from workouts with a lot of context.
And just for shits and gigs: your last 3 miles were 18:50. So lets say sub-18 beyond that who the hell knows

That does seem to be a trend here recently. Perhaps the Island thread is bringing out all the pregression-predictor people. The run you did shows that you're in great aerobic shape, and that you can run a 3mi in 18:50. I couldn't do that run, and I just ran 16:50, so I think you are in at least 17:00 shape depending on your speed and race-specific training currently.
