16 years ago I quit competitive running.
Recently I have gotten back into it and am considering spikes for my track workouts and the upcoming cross season.
I have a pair of Nike spikes that are around that age (15+ years old), however, I maybe used them 2-3 times, so they're practically new. Are they still good for use?
My coach told me to throw them out since the glue most likely wore out over time. I can't detect anything wrong with them, so I'm asking for opinions and experience. I'm cautious out of fear of injury.
