Good old American innovation. We may be 2 years behind the competition but we are still going to win.
Anyone who camps outside a store to get a new apple product should be euthanized. Just sayin. Also paying that amount of money for a phone makes you either incredibly rich and/or stupid. For most people it's solely the latter and their phone is loan in disguise.
No, they should not be euthanized. We need them to keep buying my useless products. I started an engineering company with a former colleague and after two years, it failed, because I was inexperienced. A few years later, a friend approached me about a new business idea: cannabis. I was like "heck no" hahah, but then once I saw people lined up outside of dispensaries, similar to the people you describe, camping outside an apple store, a light bulb went off.
I used to care about making a product that truly helps the world. My engineering company made some incredible products and we actually logged some sales. But there's not a lot of people buying things based on utility anymore. People are buying based on fleeting emotions and drugs. One could argue that the iphone is an incredible engineering product (and it is) but I would argue the main reason people buy it is because it delivers a drug. More and more studies show that social media, smart phones, and the internet sends rushes of neurotransmitters to our brains and people are addicted to their phones.
Apple's in the drug business. And so am I.
