I wouldn't take it that far. I like Lagat and a number of other immigrant-runners. Chelimo has so far shown to be different.
First his meteoric rise to Olympic silver had me on guard. I agree with moose. Chelimo had never displayed that kind of speed off that kind of pace. Unbelievable.
Then he tries a Mehdi Baala-esque move down the stretch in Zurich. That move is nothing but dirty.
Finally he disrespects all U.S. runners with the original quote. If someone wants to immigrate here and dominate the national running scene, fine. No problem. But don't be so disrespectful. It's in very poor taste.
