So upon my weekly check of TFRRS, I stumbled upon results from Adams State's season opener and I came across a name that I haven't heard in a while. ELIAS MF GEDYON!!!

He placed 5th while running for Adams State. Not only is it confusing that he was running for a university, but the guy is listed as a Sophomore! Explain that to me NCAA? The guy graduated HS in 2011, ran Cross Country at Lane CC in Oregon for a year so his eligibility clock started in 2012 after redshirting fall 2011...

.
To cap that last fall he was running for Trinidad State JC where he was listed as a Sophomore which would make sense except for the three years in between where he wasn't going to school
This is where it gets weird, so he was a sophomore last year at Trinidad, but now he's a Sophomore at Adams State!! That is just the most perplexing thing in the world to me. He's been "on the clock" for a while now ('12, '13, '14, '15...) HOW is he a still SOPH! This should technically be his 7th year removed from high school, I don't know how he's dodged NCAA degree completion rules, 5 years to play 4, anything. What witchcraft did Adams State pull? I see no way of him being eligible at all. The guy graduated high school when this year's collegiate freshman were in the 6th grade! What is happening to the world!
