They scored 27 points and could have had a bunch more. I think Tom did OK.

kareem hunt stuck his tip in belichick's mouth last night tbh
Sorry to break it to you, but you aren't going to win many games with a terrible defense. The pats looked pathetic last night. Brady was errant on a lot of his throws (the Chiefs did a good job of generating inside pressure without blitzing which has always been problematic for Brady). They were clutching and grabbing a lot of the receivers which had something to do with it (part of the reason they had so many penalties). That being said, New England should have been called for a number of obvious holding penalties (the officiating was pretty one sided). With Edelman out and Amendola hobbled, New England looks very mediocre on offense and with Ninkovich retired and Hightower injured, their defense is pretty mediocre as well (their run defense has never been great, they are designed to stop passing offenses as they typically play with the lead). They will probably still make the playoffs as the rest of the NFC East looks terrible as usual, but New England does not look great.

Anybody else notice the patriots have the whitest offense in sports in the last 30 years?
White players are in a lot of ways waaaaayyyyyyy undervalued in modern American team sports. Assumptions are made that white players can't keep up with black players. But somehow the whitest offense in football has also been the consistently best offense over the past decade. Maybe grabbing a bunch of those undervalued white guys actually works for the Patriots. See 1980's Boston Celtics as another example.

Much like Allen Webb, he is old, slow and a shadow of his former self. I honestly doubt he throws more than 3000 yards this season. Serves him right for supporting that nazi loving trump!!!
The Patriots have lost the first game of the season three times since Brady became the starter. They won the Super Bowl all three of those seasons. Blessing in disguise IMO; get past the honeymoon phase of post-Super Bowl media darlinghood, no talk of 19-0 or comparisons to the 2007 team as a distraction, there is only one objective now. There's work to be done. Better to recognize that now than halfway through the season.
I think what you mean is "Tom Brady GOES HOME DEVASTATED!"
He's definitely microdosing. With some fine Brazilian poon

Hahaha keep telling yourself that. There were no silver linings out of this game for the Patriots.
Delusional Pats fans. I tell ya. Check back in when the Pats are 8-8 and Miami or the Bills are going to the playoffs (maybe the Jets?). Can't wait to see Brady come back at 41 for "revenge" or to prove he isn't on the "downhill" only to see him completely implode.
Check back in October. When everyone else has rolled the Pats because Brady is old and they have no D, you'll suddenly realize Alex Smith wasn't really all that great last night.
Chiefs will be 2-2 or 2-3 by then
Pats will be 2-2 or 2-3 as well
On paper, this was a good game. In reality, it was a late season game with two teams that blow and are out of it.

The last two times the Patriots lost home openers they went on to win super bowls.
Chiefs are legit. Although less so with Berry out and possibly Tyreek Hill injured (that wasn't just cramps). Their offensive line is stout, their edge rushers are good and they have crazy speed on offense. Brady and Belicheat should have gone out on top at the end of last season like Elway and Manning did.

Wow...0-16 more likely than 16-0 for PATS now. Bellicheat has lost his touch.
You speak a mathematical truth!
Most of the problems on offense had to do with timing and such. There were a ton of missed opportunities. Those are things that are going to get fixed. I see this offense being deadly within a couple of weeks, barring any significant injuries.

It's his overly restrictive diet.
Too ketogenic. He needs to reintroduce night shades to his diet. I wear my sunglasses a night so I can so I can ...

I've noticed that. If they had the whitest offense and were below average, I'd think they were choosing players because they were white. Given their success, it seems more likely that the rest of the league undervalues white talent and the Patriots have been able to capitalize on that.
Brady is the biggest winner in the history of the sport. He cares about winning only and makes it happen.
you don't have to like him, you can say he cheats, but what do you think the linebackers and running backs on are? pushups and strength drills?! there is so much steroid and hgh use it's sad. if you don't' think this, it's called denial. peyton manning, the unathletic looking dude, is even using it.
Tom Brady has a supermodel wife. he's good-looking. he is rich. he has more superbowl victories than any other quarterback in the history of the sport. he has the most wins. he has the highest winning percentage.
those are all facts. he's the GOAT and it's not even close
AND he is literally the image of the american dream for white males, and no one likes him.
i love how effed up our country is
No, he plays team sport, the ultimate team sport. He is not even on the field for half the game, he has no control over how or if the other team scores. If he was not on a great team with a great coach, he would be retired, because he is not as great as his coach and team made him. He or anyone else for that matter cannot win a football game.
At least in Baseball the pitcher has complete control over the other teams ability to score and because of that they are credited with the W or L, in Football it is not true. The QB is only a part of the W, in some cases a very small part.
Another thing and major reason why Tom is not the goat, not even close. When a play breaks down, he generally falls to the ground and takes the sack, last night twice untouched (pansy). He cannot improvise and make a play, he cannot do things that Montana, Elway, Rogers can do or did. They could single handily get it done at times. Tom is dependent on his receivers being open and they are often times so open it is ridiculous, which is why they always lead the lead in yards after the catch.

haha. I didn't catch that at first but YES, 0-16 is MUCH more likely than 16-0 after last night's game.
