I don't feel like writing a full response, so I will give you my personal answers in list form.
1. Video games are fun, something lost on many adults.
2. I don't give a shit about social life outside of several very good friends. Call me a loser, I am whatever you say I am.
3. Most of my friends play, it's a way for us to connect when we can't actually see eachother.
4. I am competitive, have always been athletic, and that translates well to a lot of multiplayer games. People who like to win don't just like to win at one thing.
5. It's really no different than watching TV. The only difference is that you interact with it. Not sure why so many people bash on video games and don't bash on TV.
There it is boys. I think people just need to accept that people have different hobbies. Me? I'll kick your ass on the track, and then we can go back to my place and I'll kick your ass at whatever game you feel like playing. It's what I do.
