I had to combine running with work and my kids playing sports.
He's a full time runner.

Fair enough. Yes it is not easy when you have other responsibilities but I was just trying to point out that perhaps other masters could use Lagat's performances as an inspiration. Maybe the aging process is not all that terrible for running performance in your 40s if you remain injury free. That would be why Lagat's training would be of interest as he has seemed to be remarkably injury free throughout his long career.
