I bet its easy to recruit at UBC. Find the best Canadians and tell them they have the benefit of travelling to the United States for most of their meets. Last year they ran in Colorado, this year iowa for their unaffiliated "conference" meet. Plus where ever nationals is held that year not to mention other meets! The list goes on

It's easier to recruit at point park... just tell all the visitors about the tradition of greatness and mid season peaking and you'll have the runners dropping sub 4 miles on their way to pittsburgh
To the troll:
Lay off man. It's dumb. If you are actually familiar with the school at all, you'd know our track team suffered quite a tragedy and loss in the spring. Speaking for myself, I'm just trying to heal, work hard with teammates, and have a good year. Whatever your issue is, I hope you find some way to live with it.
Corban missed out on one key recruit who ended up going to Northwest Christian. Northwest Christian's gain, but Corban's loss. You will see Northwest Christian shoot up in the rankings and Corban move down as a result. I heard that the recruit would have preferred to go to Corban in the first place. How can a coach turn away talent? It's not as if they don't need the help.

Rumor has it a few years back they tried to recruit Jared Hixon but the Corban coach wouldn't give him enough scholarship money. Ended up missing out on a National champ
Does anybody have the results from UC Riverside or Missouri Southern University Cross Country race?
MO Southern Results:
If the poll was to come out this week, how would you guys rank everyone?

You realize that student population has absolutely zero to do with whether or not a school is NAIA or D1, D2, or D3? There are some D1 schools with under 5000 students.

True, but typically the bigger schools are in upper divisions. Not always the case, but usually

I could be wrong but I'm not sure if ANY other NAIA school has more than 10k students. Surely UBC's athletic budget has to be in the 99th percentile of NAIA schools with that kind of student body.
Until 2008 non-US institutions could not join the NCAA.
Simon Fraser joined D2 in 2009.
Doesn't look like UBC will join the NCAA anytime soon:

I'm not too familiar with how the Canadian systems work but what is stopping UBC from joining whatever league University of Victoria (another strong program) is in? Seems like that would make more sense.
Why is Missouri Valley ranked so high? Flat course? Are they really top 25?
flat course...they are okay
UBC competes half in canadian league and half in the naia, because certain sports are non playable year round in canada (Golf, baseball, softball) UBC puts them in the naia so they can compete at collegiate level that does not exist in Canada. XC and track are there in order to have the minimum amount of teams needed to be elligible.
Here is a list of UBCs projected top 10 athletes credentials in no particular order
1 John Gay-8:36 steeple, 14:19 5k
2 Jesse hooton-14:11 5k, 3:53 1500m
3 Kieran lumb-14:17 5k, 3:51 1500
4 tyler dozzi-14:35 5k, 8:16 3k
5 sean bergman-9:03 steeple
6 Charlie Danatt-3:46 1500m, 8:15 3k
7 Lukas Jarron 3:46 1500m, 1:49 800m
8 Max Trummer 3:51 1500m, 9:19 Steeple
9 Jeff Groh 3:50 1500m
10 Michael millic-14:56 5k
This team has so much depth that half their athletes could get sick and they could still put together a strong team. Watch out for them.
