They gave him #66? That is an insult!
Could be far worse with another #
Blatant copy of the Nike spring shoes.

How so?
Well given that Ritz has run in the 4% for nearly two years now, he knows he would be at a disadvantage, so I'm sure these are prototypes with a plate in them. Everyone will be copying these, they have to or their runners will be at a disadvantage to Nike runners.
Someone has to know...I used to train in Ghost now the Neuro's, Pureflows, and the Caldera. The Neuros do have a plate in them at 10oz they are the heaviest of the group but the fit, 6mm drop, and unobtrusive response make them fast
The heel/toe drops look almost the same.
Haven't seen images of it yet, but Brooks is launching a shoe called the Elevate later this year. It'll use TPU (same thing as Boost/Everun) and the midsole of this shoe looks similar. Good to see a wider toebox on this as well, and the upper seems pretty technical.
I would be excited to see a more cushioned and responsive shoe from Brooks in terms of a light trainer/racing flat compared to their current options.
Close but no cigar. Spoke to a brooks UK rep and that shoe will be the 'Levitate'. TPU film around DNA midsole, falling in the Energize category of shoes. Looks cool from limited looks at sample prototypes. Not quite as springy and unstable as Saucony Freedom, should be a very good shoe. Brooks are finally getting close to nailing many shoes (not just Launch finally). This Shoe looks like a levitate prototype or even something using similar tech and another year in advance. Levitate dropping late this year, initially in a navy ish blue, mark my words
Dang! Knew I'd mix up names eventually. Now that you say it that sounds like its closer to the name I'd heard. First week of October is what I've seen for a release.
Showme is 100% wrong. Ritz wore the Streak 6 in all of his races over the past year.

Look again. Usa 25k champs and Great Manchester races. He wore the exact same prototypes he wore at the marathon trials. These are the 4% with the streak upper, just like rupp, flanagan, and cragg wore at the trials. The stack height gives it away.
Here is a better shot. Compare to stack height of the runners next to him.

Man those are ugly
But damn quick!

False.
Those are NOT 4%'s. I've seen these post race and inquired. It's a modified Streak 6.
