Not surprising after the whole PWD episode.
Much better situation all around for her, great team and the environment could only get better
Looks like she has aged some since HS.
Trading Harvard for Oregon might be a first. She may have been asked to leave.
Sadly, Pendergast's claim to fame will be that in her senior year she lost to a 7th grader.
Sorry, don't know her. More interested if Sarah Baxter is healthy and will be running soon as XC opens in September.

MAGA = Making America's Gestapo Awesome.
President Trump is the best president since Abraham Lincoln, and getting better every day. Go Ducks, many Trump supporters in Oregon.

Has to have failed out. No way you leave Harvard unless you ACADEMICALLY didn't belong there to start. Even if she was a running prodigy which she isn't nothing is as valuable in life as an Ivy League education.

True, people do have a tendency to get older as time passes
We've been talking about it in the 2017 Transfers thread.
From what we can gather, the transfer was due to the PWD scenario/changing of coaches.
Her dad said the following in another Milesplit article:
http://il.milesplit.com/articles/218928-judy-pendergast-transfers-from-harvard-to-oregonCourtney Smith - a Harvard teammate who was faster than Pendergast - has also transferred out after sitting out the 2017 indoor and outdoor track seasons. She's off to Stanford.
Courtney was unable to run much if at all which is why she withdrew from school.
All of this sounds interesting. However, I still think CU women will beat Oregon's women. CU also has a very strong returning team. Last year was a gift to OU.
Providence is looking good as well. Most of last year's squad is returning and they also have a world ranked (jr) Canadian freshman.
BS! If that's the truth then we know where she gets her intelligence. You don't leave Harvard to go to CC.
They'll get a new coach and do great. She either failed out or is too ignorant to even waste our time debating why she left.

Agree. Leaving an Ivy for a mediocre state university is a bit of a head- scratcher.
pr's of 16:22 and 20:38, where that was 6th in the regional, indicate more promise than the final race times in the article. This is something you'd want to do for a fifth year as a grad student, not after the freshman year, but you can understand that the situation was bad and uncomfortable to remain.
About the stupidest life decision one could possibly make. If she was my kid is let her know there will be zero financial support after she graduates and can't find a job. You don't give up a Harvard degree. She will regret this decision.
Dad is a talk show host. Hard to listen when your mouth is always open. Keep on rationalizing.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
