LOL ... you need to rethink your Strava data editing method, Mimi Anderson fanboi.
Fake Strada, is there any concern about Mimi Anderson's data?
Please share if you think so.

Just an FYI: there are now multiple people posting under the Fake Strava handle. I know because I'm one of them. It's interesting how a legitimate debate about the validity of Mimi's run has been deliberately sidetracked. I wonder why that could be? Carry on.
A few points at this juncture:

1) A supposed World Record Run based upon what we are now learning is a sketchy and questionable means of valid documentation should be legitimately debated here, if anywhere.
2) The validity of Strava data, now coming to light, is a significant point being uncovered. Most runners have not yet used Strava. We are now finding out that some of those so-called FKT's (Fastest Known Times) are farcically suspect, because of Strava data editing?!?

I have been watching both ladies data. With Sandy V you can see position points every few minutes posted in real time.
Mimi A's data is a bit odd. This morning she suddenly hopped more than 20 miles down the road to where her support vehicle was, and where it had been since the start of the day. Looking at Google satellite view the stop point was odd. It was off to the side of the road in a brush area. Within half a mile of the point was a nice paved pull over spot on the road; maybe they stopped there and the position point was off. With the sudden jump it seemed that Strava data was uploaded. But three hours after that jump the Strava data for today is still not there. About an hour ago Mimi's position moved down the road a few miles while the support vehicle has remained in the same spot.
I do not know what tracking system Mimi is using but it is not sufficient for this type of run with today's technology. Pete set the data standard and Sandy seems to be using that standard.
Also, yesterday Mimi had two sets of Strava data uploaded for the same run. The elevation gains were difference but the time of run and length were identical. I do not know the reason there were two sets of data, and shortly after one of them was removed.
Anyway, I am rooting for both ladies, and hope both are on the up and up.

Seriously now, because I'm not familiar with Strava, can we please get some real Strava users to chime in here and comment, one way or another, how readily Strava data can be edited ('fixed')?
I am not a Strava data expert but I haven't seen anything from Mimi or Sandy what would have caused a concern about cheating so far. That does not mean that it is impossible that this could happen.
So please share your concerns with screen shoots here so we can discuss. Thank you.

Also, can you uploaded two sets of Strava data with slightly different results. Maybe one set of data was for the support vehicle. The time of run and distance covered were identical, but the elevation was different. Note: I did not look at the detailed Strava run data, only the summary for the run on Mimi's website.
You should follow along yourself. Thank you.
The reason to follow along yourself should be obvious. Draw your own conclusions and let Mimi's team proceed as they are.

Huh? Maybe because her 'list of accomplishments', we should just leave the matter alone and hand her a World Record, already?
And wasn't it on Sandy Villines old website a couple of weeks ago where they had a fake Marathon PR posted from a course which was too short?
That was a real point of concern. Because of our protest here at letsrun.com this Marathon PR was removed.

What? We are finding out now Strava data is almost for 100% proof, especially when data is loaded up hours, and apparently days after the fact. Plus, location pinpointing then becomes more difficult for 'boots on the ground'.

No one is actually talking down Mimi herself. What is obvious is that the Sandy's data posting are absolutely superior to Mimi's data. In my opinion if a a multiday runner is not using the method Pete K. used, that Sandy is using, the results should be considered unofficial. The tech is there, there is no reason to not use it.

It turned out the time was accurate but that it was determined later the course was short. Something like Salazar's not a World Record marathon run. The time is official, but it was not a full marathon.

^ THIS is a RED FLAG!
Maybe one set of data was for the support vehicle.
What?!? Support vehicle (maybe a bicyclist) with a different set of data?! ^THIS is a HUGE RED FLAG!
The time of run and distance covered were identical, but the elevation was different.
^RED FLAG, folks.

Look, nobody is questioning the integrity of Sandy's run. She is using multiple trackers, with GARMIN. GARMIN is crossed over to Strava appears to be much more valid. Also, so far, Sandy's circle of eyes on her is much bigger than the Mimi effort, making a conspiracy difficult on the Sandra side.

Whereas, for better or for worse, because of shady associations with past cheaters, the Mimi effort should be demanding a much higher level of scrutiny here, regardless of some 'list of accomplishments'.

Mimi started out noting that she, the RV, and the support vehicle would each have data posted, well, at least in terms of seeing where each was during the run.
I'll post the following three images from Mimi's webpage. First is the a Google satellite image of the location of the support vehicle (# 107), and where it has been since early morning. At the bottom left corner of the Google map is a paved area; zooming in shows two trucks parked there with drivers likely resting. The second is a closeup of the location of the vehicle; on the shoulder and not a very safe spot. The last is a Google street view; the road there has a drainage ditch on each side and shrubs.

Yeah, it's been possible for years bud you're late. People have been faking strava date since it came out. Look up Digital EPO - This was a free service offered to boost your strava times, it's now a paid app on the app store. But yeah, you can go run 7:15 pace and then increase the speed by X% until you get the CR.
Shocking! Why is Guinness World Records allowing this nonsense? They didn't learn from the Rob Young fiasco?
Can GARMIN real-time uploads, cross-referenced against Strava be hacked by your average joe?
