Some kind of summary: OCT 14th End of Day
REVISED to add Mimi's Strava
Mimi: 38 days
Distance as this night 2,139.6 miles (according to Strava)
Remaining distance: 746 miles
Ended near her route mile marker 2092
Sandy: 34 days
Distance as of this night 1,897.8 miles (according to Strava)
Remaining distance: 1169 miles
Remaining distance is based on:
-- Sandy, her original estimate of 3067 miles (Pete K's route). Sandy did make some deviations from Pete's route; some intentional and some off-course.
-- Mimi, her original estimate of 2838 miles with an adjustment for the actual mile marker she ended the day at according to her planned route (2838 miles - end of day closest mile marker). Mimi has gone off-course a few times and her planned route was not on actual roads in a few areas.
Stravas are up:
I think Mimi's morning and afternoon Strava uploads today tell a story of her running herself to exhaustion in both of them. Her pace ends up dropping to only walking speeds for large periods of time towards the end of the morning and afternoon, like she can't go any faster. Hence why she needed the 4 hour break in the middle of her run this morning. But then she just runs/walks herself to exhaustion again in the afternoon, yet today has been her lowest mileage day yet at about 40 miles.
Mimi also run a very long day yesterday. And today she started almost one hour earlier to "compensate" for the new time zone.
As an older runner, with many more miles under my belt than Mimi, I honestly consider this whole endeavor as the ultimate folly for any athlete who is a year out from a major knee surgery, at any age, much less at 55. In no way is her run inspiring, since she clearly is desperate and not pursuing running as a sustainable healthy lifelong enterprise. Sandy and Pete epitomize the right way to do this, in the right spirit of a healthy challenge, only highlighting the disastrous course that Mimi has charted and stubbornly refuses to alter.
I only hope someone in her crew can bring her to her senses, but I have a feeling that any horse with sense rode out before this even started.
Dunno if you noticed old fella but she's not actually running, more walk and shuffle.
Anyway, it's all about the film, book, fluff for magazines and social media, etc and this, and her life story up to the trans con, will make a great story.

So it's back pain but she is fine
Mimi got only 8 hours rest last night.

That's more than usual though, right?

I think their story is a half truth and they are just trying to deflect our concerns over Mimi's serious health issues. Mimi's knees and legs have wasted away, let alone her back :

Wasted away from what scam, I thought she was faking the run?
Ok, just so I'm clear. What do you think is actually happening here? She's doing the run albeit with rubbish data collection or she's not doing it? And if not what is she actually doing?
Cause I keep seeing posts here with all sorts of accusations but nothing saying what exactly they think is going on.

Wasted away so much that Mimi can't comfortably straighten out her right knee standing up.
I think that after that LRC troll "arrest" incident and he forcing Mimi and her team to stop turning off their GPS tracker that Mimi has been forced to run/walk the whole distance each day. Hence why she fell apart so quickly thought after our attention.

Right. Not just the accumulation of over 2000 miles running.
Except the Strava data has been consistent for the whole challenge. Day in, day out. Now I know you say it can be scammed but you haven't shown it has have you?

You mean Mimi's Strava data that consistently has garbage cadence data saying she is doing sprint intervals every minute or two? Yeah, not a good idea to argue with me about her garbage Strava data. It is totally unacceptable.

8 hours "rest" does not mean 8 hours sleep. That is probably 4-5 hours of sleep, 6 at the most.
I'm going to give a mentor of the doubt and assume you didn't read the pages in this thread where we discussed the unacceptably bad cadence data from Mimi that doesn't at all match up with what we see her doing:
I don't even know where to start. Now they say that they're turning off trackers because it is part of the GWR rule set? Why didn't they say that at the beginning of the run when they were turning them off for even longer periods of time? Sorry, I'm not buying it.
Also, I'm not a doctor (I know you're all shocked) but I'm going to guess her back is jacked up because she can't straighten her right leg. Look at it! This is too much.
The thing is, us ladies almost always pose like that in photos, with the knee forward. It's in our DNA or something. See #6
