Relay teams don't run together. Have you ever watched track? Do you even run?
Yes, I'm part of Mimi's relay, but it's basically walking.

The Marvellous one still hasn't put her evening run on Strava lol
Update after week 4
Mimi Anderson passed the halfway mark on October 1st. After a very strong first week averaging 60.4 miles per day through the Mojave Desert Mimi's daily runs are steadily getting a little bit shorter. On Tuesday Mimi had her shortest run with 41 miles.
Sandra Villines had to fight through a snowstorm in Colorado with a long 70 mile day, in order to avoid getting into pass closures. She just past the Rockies now.
Mimi Anderson did 1606.4 miles in the four weeks.
Sandra Villines did 1291.5 miles in 24 days
Mimi Anderson 57.4 miles/day Estimate for New York 50 days October 26th
Sandra Villines 53.8 miles/day Estimate for New York 58 days Nov 7th
Here is an comparison

You are clueless.
Wow Kostelnik was very consistent!
Sandy looks quite erratic.
Think you're confusing the Strava data with racedrone, unless you can show me otherwise there was only one occasion Mimi didn't upload her Strava until the day after that run

Mimi;s heart rate has been over 200 bpm many times - while on flat areas with normal temps. She has the heart of an 15 year old.
MIMI: Start time 2:59 AM - 21 miles
SANDY: Start time 3:54 AM - 21 miles
MIMI: Start time 2:59 AM - 21 miles
SANDY: Start time 3:54 AM - 21 miles
Up until 8:50 AM - just under 6 hours for Mimi and 5 hours for Sandy
MIMI: Start time 2:59 AM - Lunch Break 12:10 PM - 33 miles in 9:11
SANDY: Start time 3:54 AM - Lunch Break 11:36 AM - 36 miles in 7:42

Anyone find Mimi's drop off in performance suspicious after we started putting more attention into her runs?

Mimi has been spending more time running to get the miles in. Her Garmin times are longer than her Strava times. Maybe the Strava data tracker automatically stops recording when she stops running.
What is interesting is that their now seems to be a race. Mimi running longer to stay on pace. Sandy clearing the mountains and showing that she can run more miles in the same time without the mountains (and snow).
Both ladies need boots on ground. Then: "And we decide which is right. And which is an illusion", Moody Blues, Nights in White Satin).

No. Why?

Because Mimi was out running Sandra by a huge margin each day for the first 2.5 weeks and now we have a huge drop in Mimi's performance with much longer breaks and overall run times that started occuring after the fake arrest incident and Asher's surprise visit.

I haven't noticed her slowing down (other than the pre-announced short day). I probably need to look at the elapsed time on Strava rather than the average minutes per mile I've focused on. I've given up on paying much attention to Garmin since she decided not to use it properly. What's the evidence that she has slowed down? The blog entries are usually very positive so it's tough to tell if this is a mental battle for Marina or if she's feeling strong.

There is a pre-Asher run, and now a post-Asher run. Unannounced boots on the ground are more likely now that bigger cities are being approached (Kansas City, St Louis, Indianapolis, ...).

It just seemed like Mimi's short 4x mile day coupled with how she takes so much more overall time to complete less distance than Sandra is a big drop in performance. We don't have the overall times Mimi took to do her distances from the first 2.5 weeks for obvious reasons with what they did with Race Drone but it's hard to believe Mimi was running hours longer each day than Sandra was.
https://ibb.co/bUMPrG58 miles yesterday and times in line with what she had done previously. It'll be interesting to see what she comes in with tonight.
The day before yesterday was the planned shorter day, but it looks like she may have crashed the day before that one. She did 57 miles but really labored in the afternoon run. It would be interesting to know at what point they planned that short mileage day and why.

Garmin is still useful because it shows when they start and stop running for a day. Yesterday, Mimi started an hour earlier than Sandy and ended a half-hour later. That is important to note.

Her running day was ~15:30. Her Strava total time is ~13:45.
