It has been said before but the validity of Pete's attempt was bolstered by multiple people running with him and sharing their experiences. We don't have that with Marina.

What the / means is there are the stops are now longer. These stops are constant. The are not random data brain-farts.
Could this be something simple, like an intentional plan to stop briefly every X miles or X minutes for a drink and a snack?
There have been 1000 and 4000 foot elevation gains in two of those stops. And no, the simple explanation doesn't fly because Pete and Sandy did not have them. Some, yes. But every ~40-50 minutes, no.
Then there is the mystery of Mimi's Sep 29th Garmin and Strava. Two entire different run results; distance, time and pace. That was the last day before Mimi's team decided to drop the daily Garmin and go with a continuous data set from last Sunday until the end of the event.

And many of them were random joiners. With Mimi you need to email permission in advance and get clearance from the husband to join her. That way they know exactly when 'certain things' need to be ready.

Hmmm ... for the last 30 minutes Mimi's caravan of pikers has stop just before entering a large town in Kansas. They stopped at just after 5 pm in KS. They have only covered 40ish miles to the point of the stop.
I wonder if Mimi was intercepted by LRC hooligans? She has been stopped at the same spot for 45 minutes.

I call bullshit, that's just a straight lie.

0/10 budding moran. You obviously missed the many posts that discussed the clearance requirement Marvellous Tim came up with after the "arrest" incident.
I believe Marina's website says to contact them ahead of time if you're interested in joining the run. There is no open invitation.

And it implied that if you did not notify them they would call the police and have you "arrested."

Nope, that's me. Send me a message on FB if you don't believe me. Or if that's not good enough I messaged one of the admins a couple of days ago to retrieve it from the troll who registered it. Ask them to make sure the IP addresses match up.
Fvck off Gary, you're a complete twat. This is a serious thread, you should get over to the Amy Hughes thread to mix it up with the other trolls. You defended her before, she needs your help now.

Nearly one hour into this early stop. Something has happened.

https://share.garmin.com/mimiandersonExactly like Pete’s did if you check back. ‘Please contact Pete if you are able to join for any time period to help crew or run with Pete.’ Sorry, but I don’t immediately jump to the conclusion from that that he was cheating. Just fairly normal practice if you are undertaking a massive run.

Mimi posted her Strava for an her second run. 41.5 miles completed for the day. Maybe they are planning a night run to get through the town?
If it is a stop for the night they picked a place that a piker would. It is a city yard where filled with piles of gravel. About one-half mile north of the stop is the Emporia Park and Campground. Why not stop there if the day is done?

Where in my post did I accuse anyone of cheating? Where did I say Pete did things differently? Why are you so defensive?
If it were me I would want to limit and screen those who ran with me. Hell, Charlie Engle almost took Pete out on the last day.
Or just check the blog:Still Mimi has put in 3 good days in terms of mileage. Today however she will take a rest after 42 or so and have a longer night sleep – a bit like having a weekend off!.

No reason to waste time on Tim's excuses. An very nice RV right next door. So why stay in a city service yard? She has not stopped in a place with a shower for days. The RV has not had the toilet emptied in days. What are they doing, reliving themselves in the field and dumping the wastes there as well? Typical pikers. In the USA dumping an RV's toilet in a public place will get you arrested.

Thanks, I need to remember not to feed the trolls.

That would be so nasty. That RV has to really stink by now.
