I am not going to rip you, because unlike you just throwing everyone under the bus for expressing one's opinion, something allowed under the First Amendment, at least at this point, but who knows what the future holds, I respect the right of free speech. I may disagree with with one says, but I defend their right to say it. However, I am in agreement that death threats have no place here or elsewhere. We (well, not everyone) do know who made those death threats. The owners have been contacted by the authorities and IP addresses recorded. It is known who posted the threats.
As for slander, no one here is slandering anyone because slander occurs via speech, whereas as libel is written. Moreover, both are hard to prove, and it is more so for public figures, and one could argue that Rossi, based on his profession, is a quasi-public figure. In addition, part of libel is knowing writing something that you know to be false. One of strongest arguments that Rossi cheated and subsequently lied about it is that he never sued anyone for asserting that. If I were him and had run the race, I would have sued. But in order to do so, he would have to prove that he did in fact run the race, which nearly everyone knows he cannot prove. The guy loves to sue. The comments here, while sometimes troubling (excluding threats which are just plain over any line), were brought upon him by him. If you go back to the original thread, or even his early FB posts or FB group chats, it was he who attacked others, calling them vicious names, stalking them, threatening them both directly and indirectly, posting pics of them, commenting on and stalking people's children, using his own children in attempt to shield himself or make himself look better, etc.
I am not sure what your point really is, but if you don't like what you read or see, you are free not to click here or elsewhere where Rossi is mentioned. I know for some snowflakes, reality can be difficult.
