I can't decide which Path I want to take for my future once my basic classes are out of the way.
Here are the interest I'm having trouble with.
1. Marine Biology
2. IT Computer Security
3. Physical Therapists
4. Sports Medicine
Out of these 4 which would be the best choice? I love helping others out and I love wildlife. Idk which to choose? I have 1 year left to decide. Maybe you could help me out?
1. I don't know. Probably like 45-50k.
2. Sounds like 50-80k
3. 85k is average. But 4 yrs college and 3 year advanced degree and debt make it bad choice financially.
4. 4 yrs college, 4 yrs med school, 3 yrs residency, 1 year fellowship. Make 250k on average but potential to make like 300-350k. Not that great for medical specialties. Lot of debt with medicine (350k if you have no family support for college and med school and live modestly) and heavy opportunity cost.
Taxes eat you up too. Engineers start at 65k with a college degree and can make 100k or more as principal engineers. They don't "lose" their 20's either. I wanted to become a physician and chose one of lowest-paid specialties. No complaints here since I like what I do. :)
Do what you like as long as you can be financially independent!
