I've had an Achilles injury for 5+ years and have lost some of the peak years of racing because of it. Excluding surgery, I've tried most suggested remedies (ART, Graston, needling, eccentrics, total rest, etc.), but never tried PRP.
I'm wondering if anyone reading this has had PRP done for the Achilles, and what your outcome was.
I'd probably end up having it on both AT's at once. How long does it take you out for? Can you exercise at all while recovering? And is it probable or likely that just one shot could fix it (because based on the heavy price tag, that's all I can afford)?
Any advice/experience is appreciated.
