Kenyan hobby joggers
Tom Bosworth, U.K., is fast. Holds record for mile walk, 5.30. But compared to other walkers, lacks muscle. Bosworth, rare athlete to 'come out' from LGBT community. Good luck to him. Oops, Bosworth just got a yellow warning!
Three Indians in the race Tikke hai!

To be fair, he was out whether he knew it or not the minute he became a racewalker.
Different styles in race. Most are super efficient, the slower walkers, slower cadence, and slightly weird actions. Last km in 3.59, by Bosworth. They will speed up to 3.45 speed at the end, around 6 mins per mile speed, in closing stages. People don't realize how hard it is to walk at this level. These guys are much stronger than marathon runners. They can all do pull ups, chin ups and planks.
Bosworth looks like a boy among men, because of his extreme ectomorphism. The others are ecto/mesomorph hybrids, will well developed pectorals, and super strong cores, incl. six packs.

Embarrassing to say the least, they could go to your local 5k race and win.Shows the standards of races nowadays, when you're getting destroyed by someone walking. These race walkers should try and race as many local 5k races and just obliterate the hobby joggers, i think then we'll see a huge decrease in the amount of hobbyjoggers.I bet you they won't sending selfies of them wearing the participation medals to their friends.
Most of these guys are 8-10 percent body fat. Impressive. Time wise they all train longer than elite runners, because most do substantial gym work, mostly toning work, not building huge muscles, which would slow them. Swedish guy in second, at 29 mins, looks like a triathlete build. Looks like a 24 BMI!
Kevin Campion, France, near the front. Great name for an athlete!
Sorry, but they are not walking. I watched some of his world best mile and it was easy to freeze frame it and catch him with both feet off the ground on multiple occasions.
3.59 pace per km. It will get faster. They have not started racing. Jap. cadence, almost 20 percent faster than Bosworth, in turnover. But most cadences are similar -180-200 per minute, speeding up to 220 steps per minute, when they start racing. Bosworth at limit of legality, he is starting to bounce. He has two yellows and one red! I fear for him. Bosworth, two reds now! He will be dq'd for sure.
Walking, or lifting, they are still impressive athletes. I repeat, people do not realize it is to walk or 'lift walk' at that speed!
Bosworth, freeze frame - two feet in air!
Bosworth, bye bye, a nice cuppa awaits you.
Bosworth dq'd, he collapses, crying. Drama. His LGBT community will provide solace, cause he's a good bloke. One feels sorry, because his bouncy style will always be suspect unless changed. He has to develop a more economical, close to ground style, which attracts less attention from judges. Bosworth is crying now, in judge's arms. Tragic.
Linke, Deutschland. Germany. Tall, rangy ectomorph, with long, slower, cadence. Phenomenal stride length from the German. Chinese, much faster cadence. M.A. Lopez, Spanish veteran icon-bye bye.
Colombian and Brazilian in leadpack. 8 strong lead pack. The medals will come from this group.
Aussie in 7th is grimacing. 3.56 per km. They are on 1.19 pace. Wang looks good, within the rules, very little bounce, all forward motion. 3.50 last km!

I thought the steeplechase result was finally proof the US had gotten serious about the funny distance events.
