Hi, just wondering how much mileage would be too much.
Just finishing up my week of 55 miles, and wondering if it would be advisable to go to 60 as my last buildup before the season starts. I am sore, but I understand that comes with buildup.
For background, i'll be a senior, it's my 3rd xc season, and i'm hoping to run from 19-19:30 (both big Pr's, just need to evaluate mid season.) I've not had any injuries, building from 20 sophomore xc to 25 sophomore track and 25-30 junior xc. I went from that to around max 50 during the winter before track, again with no injuries, and lots of progression.
Real question is, how much can it help/ hurt? Not doing many workouts early in the season, and time isn't really an issue, just needing advice on how much it will help/ hurt my training.
