Colorado and Utah have 7 teams in the top 50
7/50 = 14%
Colorado + Utah population = 8.5m
USA population = 323m
8.5/323 = 2.6%
Virginia has 1 team in the top 1.
1/1 = 100%
Virginia population = 8.4m
USA population = 323m
8.4/323 = 2.6%

Next year's Burnt Hills team should be insanely good. They return their entire team next year.
Loudoun Valley has an even better set of top 5 runners who are returning in Fall 2018:
-Affolder (15:17/9:02)
-Jacob Hunter (15:43/9:27)
-Carlson (16:38/9:39)
-Windle (16:13/9:41)
-Wells (Another Transfer) (16:07/9:40)
They could be the first team on the boys side to get 2 national titles in a row (in 2017 and 2018).

Given they got two major transfers this year, you have to assume they'll get at least one more next year.
Could The Woodlands recover from the hurricane?
Would you want to update these?

Not really. Do you?
Ocean Springs, Mississippi is a top 25 team
Lets compare OS to the team ranked 50th on those preseason XC rankings, Hudson OH.
OS: Top guy has a PR of 16:33, no one else under 17.
Hudson: 7 guys with a faster season best than OS top guy... hmmm
The top 4 guys from Hudson have 3200 PRs under 9:40. The fastest 3200 for an OS runner on milesplit is 9:53 years ago. Indeed, any of those 4 guys would probably be the fastest runner in MS. Their next 4-5 can probably run similar times but don't have a 3200 PR listed.
Just... stop. You are making your team look bad with your ignorance. Any of the top 50 teams in the country would score a perfect 15 against you guys. I'm sorry that you don't know how good the rest of the country is. Please show up at Nike regionals; it will be entertaining for all of us.
