Got 1,3 right, Mo 2nd not Barega.

LOL, He should get a bonus medal!
I don't think a DQ is in order but I am surprised he didn't get booed out of the stadium. I would've been booing him. Imagine mocking (arguably) the most dominant distance runner ever on the global stage in his last global final where he earned silver in an incredible double (26:49... who here on LetsRun can do that??) on his home turf, while he lays on the track in tears? Shameful.
Muktar is 23, not "20", not 17 lol.
I'm kind of surprised Chelimo took bronze... Even tho I predicted him at third in the prediction contest. After that prelim I wasn't really sure... But this proves his Olympic silver isn't a fluke.
What anthem will they play for the ANA gold medalist in high jump at the medal ceremony?
Very tedious first half but gripping finish. About time some younger runners took over, I'd always hoped it would be Kejelcha so bit disappointed he ended up with nothing after playing such a key role. Butchart couldn't stay with the pace of the top guys but still a respectable 8th.
The "M" was for "Muktar"

IAAF theme/anthem thing.
The IAAF anthem.
Didn't he pick Mo up off the track after the race, or was that Kejelcha? I think he was having fun, not meant with hatred. Mo certainly has fun when he wins.
They really need to figure out how to make the decathlon 1500 with staggered start based on points.

They would need a new points table first
Great finish ~ I like it a lot wrote:
edris won... well deserved...
chelimo made the biggest mistake...
he started from way too far back with 400 to go
farah's mistake was letting them pass with a lap to go
what a great finish by the ethiopians woohoo!!!!
it was another boring jogfest... but an absolutely great finish
and a big part of that was the jogfest strategy backfiring on farah
At 34 years , i think mo is struggling to recovery from races especially after a sub 26:50 10k. He looked finished from that back straight, i honestly thought he wouldn't even medal but he seemed to have another gear.Jogfest suited mo, a fast pace wouldve crushed and he wouldn't even medal.
I thought Chelimo ran smart. He stayed right behind Mo for the last mile. Yes, he let them get a bit too far ahead at the bell, but he was right to think he could outkick Mo if he stayed right behind him. He was clearly the fastest man over the last 300.
Gives us a taste of what he can do when he tucks in behind the leaders. He will contend for Gold at the Olympics if he stays healthy.

Pathetic that NBC didn't talk about Hill not running.
Not at all, watch again. Kind of absurd no?
I saw it, too. Seemed to ease up either content with a medal or not wanting to pass Mo.

I watched it again. He did not ease up until maybe the final step and it made no difference.
Edris's last K was 2:21. WoW!

I'm okay with seeing Mo Farah get beaten.
But by a generic doped-up "20-year-old" Ethiopian? Yuck.
It's obvious that Jamaica was pressured to get off the juice. Hopefully East Africa is next. What a farce.
he's been good for a few years now... follow the sport please
Did butchart block people a lap or two from the end? Looked like he gave his last to get near the front and slow others up for Mo?
Pretty close to Mile WR pace the final 800 if 1:52 is accurate....

Please STFU.
Mo shouldn't run around with his hands on his head making that stupid face if he and the fans can't take a little shade when he gets rekt. It's just as disrespectful for Mo to do that after a victory instead of just shaking his opponents' hands and hitting the locker room.
