I like to run first thing in the morning. During the season my practice is at 3:30pm after school though. What's your preference?

Around noon when the sun is brightest and hot. I love sweating.
well I'd like to run first thing in the morning as well. it's just that I'm in very bad shape right after I wake up, so I'd have to wait at least one hour before going for a run. that takes too much time, so I almost always run after work. for most of the year, that's after sunset, unfortunately.
Noon/afternoon
After 4 p.m. That is hard to do after daylight savings time though. I'm not the runner I used to be. In fact I did run in the morning but never liked it much. I was always slower in the morning. Perhaps that's a mental thing.
Usually between 11-1. I can't do first thing in the morning, I feel stiff and terrible. My body needs to wake up and warm up first. Luckily I can run on my lunch break at work.
Always after dark for me, that way I don’t get people mocking me for being so ugly! 😄
Early for me is better as I get it done and can focus on real life things like work and family stuff. While it's nice to get my run in I feel like poo poo in the mornings. 100%
But if I could... 6-8 pm in a cool summer day will always result in a great run!

I live in a cold place, so lunch time. In the middle of summer I run after 4:30 and strangely I run faster at this time but I get cramping more frequently.
Only dawn when it's even still dark. Wakes up 4:30 am goes out 5am. No other chance with a job and kids. Goes to bed as early as possible- 8:30-9pm
8 PM + late dinner + sleep

First thing in the morning. I literally get out of bed, change, and go run. I sometimes feel like crap but eventually it works its way out during my run.
Do you first-thing-in-the-morning runners do your workouts then as well - intervals, speedwork etc.? Sounds like hell to me.

Yep! I don't ever go right into fast running. I always have at least a two mile warm-up beforehand.

No problem after a good 8 hour sleep and a good warmup. It's a matter of habit
