Have heard from muiltiple people it's close to 100 meters short. Which means he still woulda ran 14:40s which is still great. But to say he's going to be one of the best in the NCAA when he's broke 15 once is a little much in my opinion.
This is not true. Many have measured this course to be a legitimate distance. Kreft is in Division II for cross country and doesn't get to run against top competition very often. He destroyed Horter that day, and Horter has run under 15 four times. Two weeks later on a warmer and wetter day, people who had run there on the fast day were 45 seconds to a minute slower. That course was track fast that day with perfect weather. Kreft went with Horter and beat him handily.
Zach Kreft has serious talent and will end up being one of the best runners in the NCAA in distances from 5,000 and on up. Not a little much. He is one of the best pickups from this year's class.
I've heard hasty signing later.
Gatewood UPenn!
Peter Morris committed to UVA
Dalton Hengst to Ole Miss
Stanford picked up one kid from Oregon. Not Schumacher.
Andy Monroe to Stanford
Dylan Jacobs to Notre Dame
Where is this recruiting prowess coming from now? Good for them. They are building a stable foundation for years to come.
It shows you how little recruits care about results at these high end academic schools. Notre Dame has probably had the worst last 2 years in the history of their Men's program and they still are getting right now the best recruiting class in the country. It should be easy to recruit Midwest kids there but their class is still impressive.
Great point^ after an awful last few years they manage this
Notre Dame is certainly out performing some other schools in terms of recruiting this year. Well done. They now have a great opportunity to develop into a team in the national conversation. Harder said then done.
Let's look at some of the rosters for teams over the next couple of years:

It appears it could be another NAU/BYU battle, granted we haven't seen NCAAs yet this year. But both squads return a good amount of their top runners. Stanford is young, I wonder if they would consider redshirting Fisher to be better in two years.
Other Observations:
Furman loses several top runners but they will continue to be good with their strong recruiting
Michigan loses several top runners and will likely drop next year
Freshmen that will make an impact:
*Notre Dame getting Kilrea, Kreft and Jacobs will make them much better but they are still a couple years away
*Gabe Fendel will make Colorado better
*Brodey Hasty could tip the scale depending on who he chooses (would make NAU, Stanford and Oregon better)
*James Mwaura could potentially help a top team
*Dalton Hengst should help Mississippi continue to climb
*Dustin Horter will help Indiana but they are a few years away
Oregon lost out on Hengst and Fendel but still could get Hasty and/or Mwaura
NAU is in on Hasty and Mwaura and Raff from what has been said on here, they could become even better which is scary
BYU is in on Raff and Troutner and hard to say who they might be bringing back from Mission
Syracuse is going to be rebuilding
Who are some of the 8-20 ranked teams that could break into the top 7 or so?
Ohio's Lucas Bons is seriously looking at BYU. 4:09, 15:13 guy, 1:51 in a relay.
My guess is he goes to BYU.
Luke Lavidere and David Melville- Harvard
Charlie Perry- Stanford
Rusty Kujdych and Price Owens- Georgetown
Isaac Davis- Penn State
Early signing period is soon, any news?
Raff committed to NAU. Mentioned it on his training blog
