He won't break 4. Between 4-4:30 tho I'll say. Just to pick an exact time in case anyone nags me for giving a range that's half hour big, I'll say 4:20.

And I promise that more people would watch a Breaking4 TV show starring Hart than anything connected to Breaking2. (Maybe if Rupp hadn't turned down Breaking2...)

Taking bets right now. Kevin Hart: DNF.

Just saw him on Entertainment Tonight sprinting on a track then bragging about "eating up" the NYC course. What a tool. And he looks fat! DNF if he even makes it to the start on what, 92 days of training to Nov. 5?
i give him 3:35. Off chance of sub 3:30. If he ran 20 min for 5k, daniels says that is equal to about 3:11. However, he's probably running 40 mpw at the absolute max, so I'd say 3:30ish is realistic.
No chance he DNFs.
I think he will run a respectable time for a first timer ~3:45. He ran a 9 miler on his first day after that clip at the start of this thread.
People don't understand how damn hard this guy has worked the last 10 years of his life, he went from middle tier stand up to selling out MSG multiple times. Its well known he is a high energy and driven person.
He is a workaholic, already fit and will definitely push himself to train and finish.
5'4, 141 pounds with a 34 inch waist. That's a lot of fat around the pant line. Must be skinny fat from all the after show dinings. I say 4:04 marathon at best.
Sun 4 but not sub 3:30.

The ego these entertainers have.
Why is it HUGE NEWS when a young healthy person decides to run a marathon? Oh, because he's famous for something else? So that makes HIS entry special?
Get back to me when you can fill a huge room with thousands of people just telling stories/jokes for 40-60 minutes.
I don't know his exact running history, but if he has been running steadily for a few years and sticks to a program that takes him up to 50-60 miles a week, I think he could break 3:30. I wouldn't bet on it, but its possible!
I enjoy reading about his running hobby, and I like that he tries to share it with others as well.
Not terribly concerned that his upcoming ~3:45 -- 3:55 or so performance will be classified as abysmal by 90% of the users here.
Good for him. Also he's only 37/8, so he's got youth on his side kinda too
/also an unabashed hobbyjogger
Maybe they should have a special comedians division at NYC: Hart, Dave Chapelle, Eddie Murphy, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Aziz Ansari, Samantha Bee, Jimmy Fallon...
Remember that he was doing quasi-commenting or something at the sub-2 event, so he must have some interest in the sport. There's no 'e' in hart. When popular figures like this compete, sometimes they bring more people into the sport, which is good for health though bad for entry fees. Maybe he'll even bring some young African American boys into the sport who can make a contribution in the future. That's all to the good.
It's humorous in the Galen Rupp pic how Hart tagged it "dope pic."
If he finishes he can go on the list of celebrity marathon times to beat!
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=1808567
Who does he beat and where does he fit in on the list? I say he beats Oprah, but falls short of Puff Daddy.

Saw an interview not too long ago where he said he could run around 18 minutes for a 5k. I'm assuming he mean the mid to upper 18's.
I could see him challenging 3:30.
Who gives a flying F? Just another attention seeking celebrity. Please LRC , do not become a Runner’s world spinoff!!
He and Tiki Barber will run between 3:50 and 4:20
MessageI don't know his exact running history, but if he has been running steadily for a few years and sticks to a program that takes him up to 50-60 miles a week, I think he could break 3:30. I wouldn't bet on it, but its possible!
Not likely. He's in good shape and probably could do it, but my guess is he spends too much time and energy high-fiving spectators to run his best time. I'm happy that he's doing! If he encourages 100 people to get off the couch and start moving, that's a good thing.
If he knows who Kipchoge is and knows he ran 2:00:25 for a double 1/2 AND ran a 5k with Rupp I bet he's familiar with Letsrun. Shout out LRC on twitter!!! Send the haters home DEVASTATED!!!!!
