Her complete lack of interest in competition is a true inspiration to me and will help me perform even more badly in races from now on. A great role model for children everywhere.
Who the hell takes a selfie stick on an epic 400 mile 14 day ultra run!!
You would pack as little as possible to take with you.
She's obviously returning to a hotel each night, so just doing a short out and back run each day, not a 400 mile journey.
She is reading this and is so dim she cannot see every walk she puts on Strava incriminates her for all her other record claims.
Further confirmation she's mentally unstable and suffering from narcissistic personality disorder.

Amy Hughes on facebook:I Got myself in a bit of tizz last night for absolutely no reason!
Erm, the reason she got in a tizz was because her fake running lies are beginning to be exposed and the fake running persona she has created is about to start crumbling away.
That is not absolutely no reason to get in a tizz, it is a reason to perform some serious soul searching and stop being so fake.

Sensitivity, lol! Trying to make out she is a poor sensitive soul when she is a brazen cheat who has no shame and is perfectly happy to keep this fraud going!
i like the way she had enough time and foresight to organise a bunch of kit with "400 miles 14 days" and #run Amy run# on it but didnt didnt bother to plan her route, prepare for the conditions, prepare for the terrain, practice running with a pack or do much running at all it would seem.
its good to know where her priorities lie.
she's a true inspiration to narcissists and blame shifters everywhere.

So, I'm confused..... Did you carry your own kit then?
Haha! You don't need to keep saying you carried your own kit. We get it. What would the kit list be for a 10 mile ultra?
I don't have anything to contribute to this thread, other than the observation that Dave Keighley is as thick as pig shit and a disgrace to the human race. Watch out Dave, we're coming for you next.

To be fair I think she's carrying her gear for the whole trip as it moving on each night and is unsupported.
She's winging on about never claiming to be a fast runner. The definition of a WR is to run faster than anyone else over a certain distance time!
Some of the new ultra runners have a real mellenial mentality. On done ultra forum this guy said he did a couple of marathons but had no interest in doing any more as he wasn't interested in running a faster time just going further. Yeah right does he even believe that himself.
Back when so I was younger what some of these term complete an ultra was called hiking and nobody would brag about it.

Hmm, my interpretation of this video is that she's actually enjoying her running, as slow and painful as it all is, it seems without the overbearing boyfriend in town she isn't under the same pressure (who's idea was that mud run anyway?).
You have to at least acknowledge that she's not trying to hide her data on this charity funded holiday. Yes the whole 400 miles in 14 days thing is rubbish but presumably that was the overbearing boyfriend insisting that they make it look like more charity fundraising.
Someone mentioned she's trying to transition from the charity stunt runner to the z list celeb running blogger. Maybe we will see a new honest Amy from now, who uses endorsements to fund her holidays rather than charitable donations.

.
Nope, she isn't carrying 14 days worth of kit with her on her walks. Her pack is small. She is going back to a hotel each night. She is clearly posting photos from a hotel room.
She just packs a small bag and does a little walk, then comes back to the hotel.
She isn't carrying everything she brought with her as she walks, it's at the hotel.
I've enjoyed this thread but I'm leaving now and won't be back. Amy Hughes is not a very good runner, which is fine, but she claims to be a world class runner and doesn't even train, which isn't fine.
I'm leaving because debate outside this thread is impossible. Dave Keighley is aggressively removing comments from her Facebook in order to conceal the fact that his vacuous girlfriend is full of shit. Anyone who still believes Amy's claims has got a serious problem and there's nothing left to say.
Have fun guys, see you around.
"I've never claimed to be the fastest runner"
Interesting quote in her video. She did claim that she broke the treadmill world record so surely that by definition, that makes her a fast "Ultra Runner".

Na. You don't have to be fast to run 520 miles in 7 days. It's 3mph. Walking pace.
True it's not fast in terms of running pace however, it is fast in terms of 7 days back-to-back running in the treadmill. Since she was claiming the world record it was fast by definition.

It's more of a 'can I be bothered to do this?' record than a speed record IMO.
Who wants to do 7 days on a treadmill? I'd rather pick up the 'fastest marathon in a scuba costume' record.
Another day, another Amy:
