Why are your ultras more "official" than others? Amy can run wherever she wants, w/o needing to sell herself to the "official" ultra circuit that only exists to make money for its controllers.
And there were "officials" at Amy's world records, but Guinness decided one of them didn't meet their witness criteria.
If Amy wants to just run for fun, she can indeed run wherever she likes and doesn't need to provide proof.
However - if you are going to claim you ran 53 marathons in order to collect 30 grand for her "charity" (where both her and Dave draw their WAGES from...) then you need to prove you did it.
She didn't.
As she didn't run 53 marathons.
Nor did she break the treadmill record nor were there proper INDEPENDANT witnesses for the record attempt, as the boyfriend was the main one and he fiddled the log book.
She has no history of running ultras so naturally people will doubt her ability when she doesn't provide proof of her own runs.
Not all ultras make money for the organiser. Many race directors are runners who put in hours organising for no profit when you take into consideration those hours worked.
