Sounds like she tried the first day. Realized how hard it really is an BF Dave fibbed the rest. She likely walk/ran a lot but NOT the 90 mi needed later on to make up the distance.

Any body know who is Amy Hughes' publicist that she claimed as one of her "independent" witnesses that she sent to Guinness? I can't find the name of her publicist anywhere.
But the athlete also ran into a new relationship after she got close to long-term friend Dave Keighley - who was part of her support crew.
The couple’s friendship blossomed during the world record marathon challenge which saw Dave cycling alongside Amy for 26 miles every day.
Awwwww.....how romantic! Yet, it looks like Dave was yet again Amy's "independent" witness for her 53 marathons. There's a pattern here....
Amy -
I'll donate $100,000 to your charity if you will replicate half of this with independent witnesses.
That's right, a mere 260 miles in 3.5 days and $60,000 in your pocket and $40,000 for needy kids.

That is an offer Amy can't refuse.
Pocketing in $60,000 is the easy part, running so far, not so much.

Was that water, fat, muscle,..?
Think about it geniuses.
And did you then continue to run 75 miles a day for a further 6 days at world record pace while losing 16 more pounds?
Incredible indeed.
Not hard to do. WR "speed" is walking pace.
You stunt walking ultra runners need to get over yourself. So you walked a few days. Big whoop.
It is a really big surprise that world records...and sponsors...and charities...and money...and awards...are all involved in another Brit Ultra cheater/liar debacle.

Now he was going to attempt a world record.
He had hoped to cover the 837 miles to John O’Groats in world record time, walking and jogging 100 miles a day to reach his destination by April 14.
Money from the challenge would go to two military charities – the RAF Association and Walking With The Wounded, with a fundraising target of £10,000.
He attracted sponsors, including endurance clothing company Seal Skinz who selected him as a “Trailblazerâ€, meaning he appeared on their website with a video about his event.
...and then something happened to Dave Reading...
What happened?
The challenge suddenly ended on the second day, with Mr Reading blaming the failure on internet “trollsâ€.
He added: “Anybody that had a connection with me, with LEJOG was getting abuse. It was evil.
“I’m all for freedom of speech but when it starts crossing the line and it gets nasty and abusive… you are a bully behind a screen.â€
•What now?
Next year Mr Reading says he is going to return to do the challenge by bicycle and on foot, this time from John O’Groats to Land’s End to raise awareness of cyber bullying.

Amy should join forces with Dave Reading. She can run, he can bike and raise awareness for Charity Scam Cyber Bullying.

Hey Everybody!
I'm so excited to be able to announce what my next cha-llenge is going to be.
I'm sooo excited about my next cha-llenge and I just know you guys are going to love it.
I'm going to run. All the way from the top to the bottom of England.
England starts in a place called Scotland and I'm going to do it with someone called Dave Reading who is such a fantastic person and you guys are just going to love him.
Dave is one of the most inspiring runners I know and really inspired me to get into running.
I'm not going to give away too many details yet but I just know that with you all helping me and my charity that it is going to be so much fun doing my next cha-llenge.
So let's get out there and really do it with a huge social media campaign to help me with my cha-llenge.
[Extra shrill voice and stupid wave]
Bye everybody!
+1
GWR can take some blame for that by having seemingly easy records such as fastest marathon dressed as a witch in the same book as legitimate track & field world records.
I don't think they knew what they were in for either. Amy, 11:50 into the youtube podcast..
"Day 1 was the shortest day. Obviously it's weird because I'd never done anything like that before, I'd never tested it. So it was just that learning as I was going along. So I'd lost about two hours, maybe three hours actually on day 1 because I thought I'd have enough time to drive home, get some sleep. But doing that I lost loads of time. So from then it was like every day we were basically playing catch up"
This lack of respect for the ticking clock in such record breaking attempts reminds me of Laz's surprise when following Robert Young. That Young wasn't constantly moving forward but stopping for a drink or a chat to the driver or crossing from one side of the road to the other.
Robert Young also had extra time for side trips to the Grand Canyon and frisbee golf early in his Transcontinental WR Run/RV ride Attempt.
Dave Reading also took a ride in a van and a ride on a bike on Day 2 of his LeJog WR attempt.
Is it possible that Amy used a van or RV at some point on her WR treadmill run?
Maybe.
OK.
I just watched some of Amy's videos.

Amy's videos are fantastic.
They are really fun and the music is great.
Here is another Amy Hughes video.

As I said in my earlier comment - is this doable? Absolutely. But the situation has to be 100% perfect, the planning and scheduling and training have to be spot on, and the individual has to have the body AND the mind to allow for such a beating.
The lack of a beating is where I call BS on the entire endeavor. Even the toughest of us would be a physical and emotional mess by the end of day 3.

Robert Young was the best of his craft. The ultimate cheater.
Terrie Reading (@terriereadin82) is now a follower of Amy Hughes' on Twitter. Dave Reading's @2017Lejog account is also following Amy Hughes now. I surmise Terrie is trying to contact Amy Hughes to team up.

While I give her points for audacity (doing it in a shopping mall, etc.), I don't understand why some people are so afraid to come out and say that there is simply no way she ran 521 miles.
Whether she thinks she legitimately did is possibly up for debate (I think she has to know she is incapable, but who knows with some people today), but SHE DID NOT RUN 521 miles in 7 days.
Amy you DID NOT run 521 miles and if you and your BF think you did, he is either a fraud or clueless and you are clueless. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and concede that possibly you think you did it.
Notice how NONE of these people go on to run something even remotely equivalent in a verifiable way? Mike Rossi couldn't even break 20 minutes in a 5K with several thousand dollars on the line. Notice how we DIDN'T see Robert Young in a 6-day race this summer?

The way she runs at 00:30 - 00:38 in that video proves her credentials as an elite ultra runner beyond doubt. She is skilful and fast over that difficult terrain, while pretending to run like a girl.
Also running through a small puddle, like she does at 2:20, is important training for all ultra runners.
I hope she received a lot of sponsorship money for that epic challenge.
Amy was livestreamed for the ENTIRE run
People were following along at home watching her plus there were crowds all about her in the centre.
Here is more proof:

It would be impossible to fake this because you would need literally hundreds of people to be a part of this. I don't care about Guiness personally. I know she did it because I watched her do it.

Hello, if you are able to provide me with the footage of the live stream and I can verify the numbers showing on her Sole Fitness TT8 treadmill, I would be more than willing to help clear the names of Amy Hughes and Dave Keighley. I am the one that sent them the open letter and have no interest in pursuing an investigation if this whole situation is just a big misunderstanding between type-A personalities.
I've finally watched the videos! Thought it was some sort of parody or something, the mud run was hilarious. Although, that looked a lot like a load of pointless army bs, so I'm convinced she's in an abusive relationship with this Dave guy forcing her to fake meaningless stunt runs. Someone should tell the police.
